[No video for you today, Johto, but there is some shuffling of feet, rustling of papers, and otherwise standard white-noise sounds of occupancy heralding you as this post first begins. There's also a light pitter-patter of padded paws across the carpet and, if one listens very closely, the faint trill of a particularly smug, self-important Espeon. ( Read more... )

I haven't had it with all of mine, but one of them definitely gets jealous a lot. And over protective. Most of my Pokemon act like idiots though and just seem to like having fun though.

Jealous and overprotective seems to be a trend. What sort of Pokemon is it, the jealous one?

Houndour. He has both traits too, and pretty much growls at anyone who isn't me.

Was he your starter, by any chance? Or in lieu of being your starter, was he your favorite among the roster?

my scyther just thinks she is a person nd forgets that shes got blades 4 arms which RLY frickin sucks when she decides to be clingy
my vulpix tries to take ME shopping for accessories or w/e for her. nd my other pkmn. AND ME.

...I think the mariachi band beats even my current predicament, to be perfectly frank. Do you have any idea how she could have possibly come up with that one?

I thought it was common to think they're sort of like humans... Or it isn't odd to see if they act like one.

I've mostly found it more preferable to think of them as surprisingly intelligent animals, personally. Seeing them as too human raises a number of rather thorny implications.

It does? What kind?

Would you be comfortable with the idea of keeping and training a human, rather than an animal?

They sometimes seem like they do, to be honest.

And a frustrating tendency it is, to say the least.

It's something to think about. In my case, Fortran do that a lot around me.

Fortran being what sort of Pokemon, may I ask?

I haven't been here long, but Agi seems to like being rather mischievous, if that counts?

I'm not sure if it's a question of what counts or not, really; presumably it could vary from Pokemon to Pokemon. Though it may be worth asking - in being mischievous, does your Agi tend to come up with antics that are almost startlingly human in nature?

She seems to enjoy hiding things, then feels guilty about it and brings them back around five minutes later. She's been rather helpful other than that though and seems to keep making sure I'm warm enough.

The guilt, I think, is the most interesting of the ones you've described; animals might hide things or show interest in their owners for any number of reasons, but guilt for a perceived wrong is a fairly human reaction. What sort of Pokemon is she?
