-So, I guess I'm 4 days into school now, I think. It's really gone back to being natural to me, so yeah. Things are going pretty good. There's a lot more reading than I originally thought though. The stupid coursepack I was waiting for finally showed up, so now the only books I'm missing is one of my plays, which I may just buy off Amazon or ( Read more... )

lol. Sorry, but D9 was definitely an allusion to Apartheid. That kinda bothered me, personally, cause the backstory takes place during the actual apartheid. Anyway, it was inspired by theDistrict 6 forced removals.

Did you see much of the viral advertising? The MNU stuff for that was great.

I see. My knowledge of Apartheid (I knew I'd spelt it wrong) comes from a very brief overview by a not so great Prof, so it is lacking. It was an interesting setting for the film though, and I thought the geography worked well.

Not really. I think I'll probably look it up now that I've the film.

Haha I watched it this weekend too!

The shaky camera fad I wish would just end already, I have issues with playing 3D games and watching 3D movies because I get dizzy and disoriented easily, and shaky camera does that and is extremely distracting. Ahhhh.

anyway, yeah I really love how it is set in South Africa. Uhhhh I can't really say much else on it, a lot of it was a (literal) blur because I didn't feel so well during the movie.

LOL.

I think it worked for what they were going for, since a good portion of it was news footage and stuff like that, but I was greatful for the normal camera scenes. That was probably the first film I really noticed the shaky camera and felt a bit sick because of it.

It was a great setting for the film and really added to the geography. I'd like to see it again.

It is. I think it's mostly the way he looks since the most I really know of Zachary Quinto is that he's in Heroes and Star Trek.
