Well, it's done. My application for Grad school is in. And now all I have to do is wait. I guess we'll see how it goes, but I'm going to try not to think about it. -You know what I love? Gift Certificates. I still had some for Chapters from my birthday, and was able to buy three books today without feeling the least bit guilty about spending my own money. -I saw Inception today. While I don't think my mind was blown as much as others' minds were blown, due to the fact that I'd encountered similar themes in past studies (particularly the works of Jorges Luis Borges), it was a very good movie and I really enjoyed it. So, I went and saw The Last Airbender. I didn't go with very high expectations, based on reviews I'd seen/heard and my own preconceptions of the movie. I was also expecting a slightly different take on the story, since I personally think it'd be stupid to make The show: The Movie.

So, I've been taking this course on Canadian Film this semester (English Canadian, I should specify. Took Quebecois Cinema last semester) and one of the films we watched today was Double Happiness. After the film, this conversation occured:

Prof: So, has anyone watched Battlestar Galactica?

Expect a bunch of random stuff.

-I saw Avatar yesterday. I admit it that it failed to live up to the hype. I found it enjoyable, and the visual effects were amazing, but the fact that the movie was a walking cliche was a turn off. However, I believe the plot came in second to the special effects, so yeah. The film is worth seeing though.
