So, scanning the internet in terms of procrastination today, I discovered two fairly disappointing pieces of news, at least in terms of anime and stuff.

So, after what seems like forever, I finally finished Digimon Frontier. One more series to go, and then I'll shut up about Digimon for a couple years which is when I'll probably get to Xros-Wars and by then season 7 will be out.

So, I went and saw The Last Airbender. I didn't go with very high expectations, based on reviews I'd seen/heard and my own preconceptions of the movie. I was also expecting a slightly different take on the story, since I personally think it'd be stupid to make The show: The Movie.

So, I finished my spring course, and to celebrate, I decided to finish up the second season of Digimon, aka Digimon Adventure 02.

This continues my, apparently crazy, nostalgic run of the Digimon series, including a first time viewing of season five. Much like in Adventure, I watched it dubbed since I want the full nostalgic effect. I don't think I ( Read more... )

I finished the series a few days ago, but various other crap in my life prevented me from posting any thoughts. So, I'll do that now.

Overall, I really enjoyed the series. I thought it was really well done and enjoyable, despite the fact that the show was, well, marketed for kids. The characters were all really interesting, and very real , and I ( Read more... )
