I managed to get RAW video (Magic Lantern's idea of RAW) to work on my camera with the Magic Lantern software. This is the easiest and cheapest route to working with full dynamic range videos instead of buying an expensive video camera. What I've learned
Going to Maui was an exercise for a bigger trip out of the country. What I realized from shooting with a DSLR is that it takes some time and modifications to use it for video use. It's been difficult getting sleep. I've been trying to put my home movies together and I can only do it at night so I've been losing sleep. It seems like there's not enough time in the day to get anything done. I've been waiting to edit a vacation like this for years. I don't even do it for a living. I should have taken film as my major in school. -

Our equipment plan for Maui has been set. We are going to rent high end equipment from a shop on Oahu. They will Fedex it to our hotel room on Maui and when the week is over we just have to ship it back. This includes 2 high end lenses and one shotgun microphone. Apparently I got a raise but I can't figure out how much it was. I don't know why it just can't be easy to have it listed without having to use a calculator. If it is what I think it is I might have cracked a six-digit salary. I am glad do have done that in less time than my dad has.
