Hey, remember when this was a fandom journal where fandom things were happening all the time? Yeah, let's do that again. I'm done being too freaked out to participate in my own fandom. So let's have a nice, easy way back in:
Ask me a fandom-related question in the comments. It can be fandom-specific, general, lj stuff/fic around. Questions can be

But because I have no brain anymore: Your feelings about Don Draper. Spew.

I actually enjoy him a lot -- mostly because he's an utter fake. There's no genuine bone in his body, the entire "alpha male" facade is a construct. Shoot me, but my favorite thing is how he cheats on his wives. He doesn't do it because he loves or desires those women, he doesn't do it because he wants to have so much sex, he doesn't do it because he's unhappy in his marriages, he doesn't even do it because it's fun. It's 100% pointless. He simply does it because this is what men of his social status do. He doesn't even question it. He observed a "norm" and he accepted it without questions. Also, let me tell you how much I loved it when the photographer in 6x01 said: "Be yourself!".
Now put on your thinking cap, because I want you to tell me about Sally Draper!

Heh, I like your thoughts on Don, even though I don't care for him. Good point about him cheating constantly simply because he can. Lame.
Ack, that's a hard question, because I have very few feelings about Sally Draper! Except I think the show should probably become The Sally Draper Show at some point when the regular cast gets old and grey. You?

I absolutely loved them in the finale. Their final scene is one of my favorite scenes in the entire show. THAT LOOK THEY SHARE. "I'd like my pen back." "You're gonna die." "Yeah, some day." HOW SO PERFECT? I love that Logan doesn't learn and even in the finale he deals with life through violent outbursts. I love that Veronica isn't mad at him -- now that they aren't together, making Logan "right" is none of her business. This adolescent relationship they had didn't work, didn't make sense, so let's move on. Let's see what they can have later on. The finale is tribute to who they are as characters -- characters whose issues won't be resolved overnight. The lack of resolution was the best resolution for them. It felt true.
I want a Veronica/Logan head!canon from you!

unf, I loved them in it too so much. Honestly, I love that Veronica and Logan have the same kind of idea of justice. They're not right in the way they deal with things; more often than not, they're wrong, but they function in that wrongness, and I loved that the episode went there and dealt with that. Just the distinction between Piz making Veronica walk away and then Logan coming in and beating the shit out of Gory. Obviously Piz is "good" for Veronica, and his method is the mature, sensible reaction, but tbh that's not who Veronica is. She doesn't "walk away", she had her taser out and ready and would have gone after the guy herself. Sure there's always a lot of talk about Logan's "bad boy" behavior and trying to fix him etc., but I LOVE that the show so often showcases that both Logan and Veronica are hard to love. That Veronica, with her missions and her need for revenge and putting herself in danger and emotional unavailability doesn't make her easy to be with at all. And ( ... )

What if you could do the same with Buffyverse?

This seems like a completely trite answer, but I think I'd go with OMWF just because there must have been SO MANY cool things going on behind set that episode. You'd get to watch some of the normal acting like in any other episode but then also the singing and dancing rehearsals and JM rocking out in "Rest In Peace," and then the Spuffy kiss... And it showcases all the actors, except maybe AH, so you'd get a fair bit of Anya and Tara, importantly. I'll probably think of a different answer the second I post this, but OMWF is definitely what comes to mind first.

No but I mean I really can't.
Tell me some random head!canon for either Downton or Buffy....

Okay, an old headcanon! Spike had a big sister who married very young and pretty much had a life of her own, separate from him and their mother. But still, they were quite close, and he went to see her at least once after he turned.
I have a speculation for you! Imagine Wesley didn't die, and instead he got to get out of LA, and train Dawn to be a Watcher. How would that work?
