Last night, I took second in the Last Chance Slam, and squeaked in to qualify. I'm having a great time, getting a lot of love, meeting a lot of cool poets.

The Plan
Okay, I'm going to take the bus from Elyria, OH to Detroit on Wednesday. I'm getting in around 11:50 AM, and I'll be about a mile from the hotel. Is anyone going to be around then, and maybe give me a ride? I can walk if I have to, obviously... -

Planning, planning. I just discovered I need a ride or a bus ticket to Detroit. Haven't been able to touch base with the woman who vaguely offered me space in her room, so I'm kind of preoccupied about that, too. The feature last night went fantastically well. Bekah promoted her ass off: there were fliers depicting my face all over campus, so when the kids came streaming in, a lot of them smiled at me in instant recognition.

Raked Across the Coals
What a bad mood came over me today! The Hawai'i drama took some time to sink in, but when it did it hurt like hell. A mess of emotion: deep sadness to break connection, anger at him for not wanting to be happy, anger at him for lashing out at me, anger at myself for taking his bullshit for so long and letting him play victim, loneliness and shame.
