Today at the Maze library I made a little display with some books for Women's history month.

I wonder if there will be a "cute doggies" month at some point.

Went ice skating yesterday after work with some folks from the library. It was fun. I haven't been ice skating in a really long time, but I was able to pick it up again reasonably well. I didn't fall on my ass, at any rate. I'm kinda sore today though ( Read more... )

Today at work Kelly took a picture of me with some stuffed animals for the library calendar she's going to make.

At the Maze library today, they were having a Hawaii themed day. I don't own a Hawaiian shirt, but I wore a floral print shirt. They had some Hawaiian punch and some snacks and a couple decorations. And they gave us leis to wear ( Read more... )

So, the Oak Park library now has a enormous raven in honor of the "big read" of Edgar Allen Poe's stuff.
It looks pretty cool. You can't really tell in the pictures, but the eyes are glittery.

Today at work a little boy asked me if I lived in the library. Pretty cute.

I've got nothing against Metallica, and "For Whom the Bell Tolls" is a good song. However, if you're stitting 25 feet from me, wearing headphones, and I can easily understand all the lyrics in the song YOUR MUSIC IS TOO DAMN LOUD. This is a library, not a train station!
