My husband and I went to my small hometown today to take my 87 year old dad out to lunch. After lunch, we drove around and photographed all the places that he lived in all his years there and he told us stories. My mom's dead now. They got married a few days after Pearl Harbor. In trying to write something every day for 37 days, I find myself playing with poetic forms I didn't know existed, just for fun. Came across the rictameter -- a syllable counting form of 2,4,6,8,10,8,6,4,2. Fun... I'm still playing with Aragorn.
