37 Days Challenge - Day 7 - Rictameter

In trying to write something every day for 37 days, I find myself playing with poetic forms I didn't know existed, just for fun. Came across the rictameter -- a syllable counting form of 2,4,6,8,10,8,6,4,2. Fun... I'm still playing with Aragorn.



Journey
ended now. Crowned
and sceptered. Clean and safe.
Now begin the days of the king.
Behind his eyes, memories of the road.
Fear, hunger, longing, touching, night.
Without honor, he walked
without hope, love’s
journey.
