[She doesn't feel the need to point out who and the statement is half question and half reassurance.]

Will you be staying there?

[She doesn't have to point it out, though there are about three other people around that he's kind of worried about. Besides himself. So he'll just take it to mean all three that are male. Even if he's pretty certain that, at the moment, she means Castiel.]

[So he nods, turning to look at the tablet.]

If you mean, am I staying with Cas? Yeah, I am. Unless this gets me, too. Then I may not have a choice.

[He's died before. There's a massive scar on his back from the knife that killed him and it won't take long. But he'll stick by Castiel's side until then.]

[She frowns and looks annoyed.]

So if something happens he will still be suffering and you will too. This thing could kill you both. Is it safe to assume you are both at the clinic?

Depending on the wound that reopens, Misaki, me being at the clinic won't make a damned bit of difference.

And no, we're not there yet. I want to get the bleeding wounds covered and dealt with before we go deal with his hand.

Does he need anything? [Pauuuse. Wait. She should also probably ask if Sam's okay and needs anything. Yeah. That too.] Do you need anything?

[Sam shakes his head, finishing off some bandaging.]

No, we're okay. We're going to be heading for the clinic after this, though. If you want to come and see for yourself that he's okay.

You'd think by now everyone would have a first aid kit in their homes. Or two.

You'd think, but it doesn't hurt to have the reminder.

[On the other hand, you do not want to know how many Sam and Cas have hidden around the place.]

The people that need the reminder are probably those people that also don't have any weapons around. So, they probably are already screwed.

I'm not sure there's anybody like that around here anymore, but you never know. There's always somebody new.

[If there's a hard edge to his gaze, it's most likely because he's not looking forward to any of that. At all.] That's great. [A beat.] Is Cas okay?

[It's not something that Sam's looking forward to, either. If it happens to him, at least.]

[Sam nods to the tablet, both in agreement and answer.]

Broken hand. We're heading to the clinic. If that's the worst of it, though, then we can count our lucky stars.

Careful, Sam. Don't jinx it. [But he smiles.] Take care of yourself.

I'm all for not jinxing myself. [And Sam looks grim, because he knows what kinds of injuries could come back for him.]

I believe it could be a test. They may be testing our emotional responses to trauma.

In that case, they test that about every week or so.
