If you see a thread in here, go to it, rather then make a new one. Logged in for easier linkage.

Are the pair ups predominantly Het or predominantly Gay?

And how is the activity levels? How many posts are made in a day? If I don't sign on for two days, will I miss a ton, etc?

The logs done tend to run about 50/50 het to gay, generally there are a lot of gay male pairings, a handful of het or bi guys who keep up with a LOT of women at a time, some steady het couples and very little yuri.

The activity is pretty high. There can be up to around a hundred posts a day across all the comms. Missing two days in a row once in a while probably won't hurt you as long as the mods don't post a new event during that time, but if it's consistent you'll probably fall behind. Some people are okay with logging with people who tag more slowly and who aren't aware of what's going on in general but it can frustrate people if you're part of a cast or your character has friends or loved ones if you don't keep up with what's going on.

Very small and very very slow I've noticed, due to a small cast of characters. But the players seem very friendly and welcoming.

It's based off .hack and it's said you don't need to know about .hack to know about the game which, really, if your character doesn't know much about it that makes sense? It's good to do a bit of reading on the .hack wiki on things if you're curious about something though.

I personally think characters just need to get together more and plot, or maybe come up with their own so there's stuff to do? I know the mods make events too but player run ones would be fun also, just to pick things up. I'm trying to think of a few myself to maybe run by the mods soon.

Apps are really easy at the moment, just fill in the details and link to a sample where you've played the character.

Obviously my opinion isn't what everybody else thinks, but I'm having a lot of fun there. Applications aren't hard, and the game is interesting but they prefer that the players make their own plots rather than hand feeding them everything which I find refreshing, but I guess some people would think it's off-putting. The best thing to do, I think, is to stalk it a little and see if you like what's going on.

New, kinda slow and shaky right now- especially in terms of log speed, which isn't good for a conflict game- but the premise and the characters have a lot of promise, and the people all seem nice. The plot should be starting up soon, which should lead to more things happening. Chat's empty most of the time though.

Gonna break it down because that's just how I roll.

Setting: Planeocracy is about an agency known as Confuto Ordinatio that is tasked with patrolling and keeping the many different worlds in the multiverse from merging with, smashing into, or destroying one another. Characters stumble in by accident and end up falling into one of three ranks: Agent, Enforcer, or Councilor. What's unique about this setup is that not only can your character return to his or her home at any time he or she desires, but he or she can visit any world that is listed in the Worlds posts. For that reason, many people call it an "inverse jamjar."

Game Size/Speed: Planeocracy is somewhere between a small and a medium-sized game, and its pace varies from slow to medium. It averages about three to five posts a day, except during and immediately after events, where, like any other RP, activity spikes. People tag each other's posts a lot, too, and are willing to continue tagging a thread until it's done (case in point: I once had a thread with another character ( ... )

Application Difficulty: The app itself is pretty straightforward. You can link your character's background and use RPing you did elsewhere (even if it's in a musebox) as a sample, or you can fill out the sample sheet (this is the single game whose sample entry isn't a pain -- in fact, it's really a lot of fun!). Personality is pretty typical, they want a reason for joining and a desired position, too. If you want your character to join as either an Enforcer or a Councilor, you'll have to provide a reason or two. Recently, they added world info because, well, you can't expect the mods to know enough of every single world to write a good summary of each. But if someone from the canon you're apping from is already in the game, you can skip that.

The mods have decent standards. Not too high, but not too low, either.

Plot: Holy HELL. For almost the full month of May, there was a huge plot going revolving around the disappearance of Earth - P3/P4. Characters went hunting for clues, bureaucrats tried to interfere, murder happened, and ( ... )
