I've been going back to read old x-files stories lately. Don't know why, maybe I've overdosed on all the supernatural fiction produced out there;-) It comes to a point where you end up reading more bad then good fiction in a fandom, and then it's good to turn back to some good stories in another fandom.  I have many favorites, and my taste in fic ( Read more... )

I'm one of those peope who listens to music no matter what I'm doing. It's a good thing that I live alone. Sometimes I listen to the same song over and over, so many times so that people around me go slightly crazy:-)

I've been watching season one of supernatural lately on my new region free DVD player YAY. I'm noticing new things now that I didn't notice last time....there was something that hit me about the characterization of Dean in the beginning of the first season. I learned something new today. 68000 women die from unsafe abortions every year according to the WHO....That's a lot, no? Studies have shown that restrictive abortion laws lead to increased maternal death and no increase in birthrate.. I was supposed to be studying today and go to a dinner party at my friends house....but nooooo I can't get anything done! I have no self-control, I've watched the latest supernatural episode three times, and then I watched the paley event thing...ARGH! First week of the semester is already gone! I'm already behind on studying;-) My learning curve is going have to be steep..

After class yesterday I caught up with one of my fellow students who went to Africa for three weeks before Christmas. She had gone to a hospital to look at conditions for birthing mothers. The conditions were of course horrible ( Read more... )

We finally got some snow, so now it looks and feels like winter:-)
My parents left a week ago and I'm not going to se them until springtime.
It's strange to have the apartment to myself again...just me and my cat here.
No one taking over my tv or computer, no one making dinner and doing the dishes with me...
It's different and quiet:-)
