(no subject)
First week of the semester is already gone! I'm already behind on studying;-) My learning curve is going have to be steep..
After class yesterday I caught up with one of my fellow students who went to Africa for three weeks before Christmas. She had gone to a hospital to look at conditions for birthing mothers. The conditions were of course horrible, but she got to help bring healthy babies to the world! She actually delivered two all on her own! It almost hurts to think about the conditions people in other parts of the world live under. It's one thing to see news reports on tv, but to actually see for yourself....I don't know if I want to, and that's the coward in me speaking. I think it would crush me, and that's such a selfish thought!!
Enough of the depressing stuff. I'm having dinner guests tonight and don't know what to make for dinner...but I guess that's a problem I can handle:-)
