I am slightly drunk on moscato and tried to log into LJ for kicks and it WORKED. It's been 10? 12? years but I love everyone here with all of my heart. Kobe
Finally settled into my apartment in Kobe. I'll be here teaching English for at least the next year - five years at the most. So far, the other JETs have been super awesome.
So yeah. I'm alive. -
JET placement
Moving to Kobe, babyyyyyyyyyyyy.
Very surprising. Most JETs don't get placed in cities, much less the 5th largest city in Japan made of awesomesauce and drunken cows. I am very excited, to say the least. And I'll get to brush up my Kansaiben! So that's cool. Everything is cool. -
Gainful Employment
Soooo I got into the JET Program and I'm moving to Japan in July! I'll find out which city I'll be stationed within the next month. "Excited" is an understatement. Looking forward to corrupting junior high kids! -

So much shitty shit happened in Thailand and it turned me into a bah-humbug sort. I'm glad I went, but I feel like the bad experiences outweighed the good ones. You live and you learn. I am recovering.
On the bright side, I got an interview with JET! I'll be in Chicago in two weeks for that, and I should learn of my success/doom in March or April. -
Land of Thai
I'm in Thailand, and all is well. I went to the beach and felt ocean water for the very first time in my life. Saw some lady boys that were prettier than me. Petted a two inch long mystery bug.
Oh yeah, I'm not here for vacation. Gotta start studying... tomorrow. -

I'm alive (barely) and in my dorm in Osaka. I've been up for at least 30 hours and can't sleep due to jetlag. Wooooooo. So far so good. -

In two weeks I will be living in Japan. I admit, although I've been bawww'ing about how much I'll miss my friends, family, puppy, and boyfriend, I'm excited more than anything (Does that mean I don't love them as much as I should?).
