I totally understand. You know what's going on with my family and it just really sucks that they CAN be there but choose not to, when I would give anything to not stress about if my parents are going to be able to make it.

I can sympathise... we were going to have the wedding in the state where we were living but then literally all the people whom we invited besides a total of 5 people then said they wouldnt be bothered coming... I can understand flying and getting here is hard...but seriously the flights all up cost $100 and they spend that more going out on a friday night on drinks and we would have organised cheap accomodation etc. but we were given BS excuses like...oh I have an anime con on during that time i just NEED to go to cos i just bought my costume...or like your friend...I have a party i want to go to that date for work -_ ( ... )
