The hardest part of my wedding was that my grandmother didn't feel up to coming. That really bothered me for a while. Years after, Lonelydumptruck's uncle (my favorite of his relatives) apologized profusely for not being there. He didn't want to come because his wife passed away earlier that year and he didn't think he could face it. He wanted me to know he was sorry about that.
This post had a point when I started, really it did. I think it is this - even if people don't make it, they hold you in their heart as much as you hold them.
