Well on Wednesday night (the3rd-4th of January) I was walking home from my first shift at a restaurant in Northbridge... as I usually do. That's so weird that they just started hurling homosexual abuse at you, i think bogans have a very good gaydar about them that we just don't realise...and the aboriginal kids! Eeep! If I was you I wouldn't even have gone down the street! I think it's time you invested in a can of mace.

I've been walking for years, and further than that. I live in North Perth, which takes me about 30 minutes on foot, which was fine. I used to walk to and from Yokine or Rivervale from the city (1h45 in duration). This was so random. I'm already organising provisions to help me out if ever I am attacked like that again. I'm going to be riding from now on, but I will be well prepared soon :)

Thank you for your thoughts. I'm rather mentally unstable due to the attack. A fair few people look at me, I'm guessing because of my black eye, and when that happens I tense up and am ready to fight. Now this may not be so bad unless... you're in a shopping mall...

THat is completely fucked. And a strange coincidence. One of my friends was bashed coming out of the city at about 10 pm a week ok, and they too were screaming abuse like that at him - but they were strangers and couldnt have possibly known he was gay. Also, when I was in the cop shop last week reporting (yet another) car accident, 2 guys came in and said a car had tried to run them down in broad daylight on hay street, and when missing them had doubled back to try again. Society is fucked.
