Never to walk home alone again

Well on Wednesday night (the3rd-4th of January) I was walking home from my first shift at a restaurant in Northbridge... as I usually do. About ten minutes away from my apartment, I had some guy lean out of a car and yell obcenities like 'faggot' and 'gay cunt'. The thing that gets me the most is that I can't analyse it. It was random, unpredictable. That fact is screwing with my mind.

I could rant and rave and carry on which I'm very tempted to do, but I won't because it wouldn't really achieve much - and it'd probably start to sound very cultural-studies-lecture-ish. You know what's weird? I was thinking about you that night and wondering what you were up to and was feeling a bit concerned coz I haven't heard from you in a while.

I'm sorry mate, and I'm sorry that there are pricks in the world who do shit like that and think they're know-all heroes.

Give us a yell sometime hey. I'm going to Melbourne next month for 6 months - catching up with old mates from Canberra etc.

My bruises have almost all healed. However, I'm quite traumatised by the event. I had a panic attack last night and now have medication to aleviate my stress. I'm not really going too well...
...But I'm sure I'll be fine soon enough.
