Normally, I'd comment but I just can't, Bill. I didn't think it would bother me this much, but it did. Probably because it was a rout and I can't stomach that. Plus, I hate hating Liverpool. I want things to go back as before. :(

*hugs* It bothers me too, which is why I decided to use that tone in my review. Some things are inexcusable. Yet, I don't think you should hate Liverpool for what they did. If I were to feel antipathy towards any of the teams, it would be for Real because they'd deserve it for being so utterly worthless and disappointing. Liverpool did what their fans expected from them; Real did nothing of the sort.

But I agree, I want things to go back as before, too.

I didn't see the game because I worked and when I got home it was pretty well all over. Perhaps if I'd watched it I would have been angry with Real too, if they were that bad. I thought that Liverpool may have been rubbing it in (especially Ftorres) but I understand that wasn't actually the case. I wish I'd seen it now!!! It might have hurt less.

It's OK, I am over my bitter disappointment now, and I don't hate Liverpool. I guess I'll have to cheer them on tomorrow! (Or is it Sunday?)

If you want to watch the game, I could go look for a torrent or some other way to download it and re-upload it for you? Because I'm sure it would hurt less if you'd seen it. Nobody was rubbing anything in, Liverpool were actually rather merciful with Real, despite the scoreline. They could have won a lot higher if they'd wanted to.

And I hope you cheered for them on Saturday, the match against United was AWESOME. :D

Oh what? I thought I had commented on this. And now it seems out of date and what not. But I think I'll just quickly say that it must have been terribly hard for you, watching that match. But at least, Liverpool showed that they deserved to go through, because I remember you saying that you would be okay with it if they deserved to win. And whilst the 1st leg may not have been a convincing win, this one definitely was.

Oh and props for such a level headed and non-biased match report. I thought Real did resort to fouls but perhaps not as much as you implied ^_^, and yes, I felt that Liverpool could have bagged a few more, but was looking to rest players ahead of the United match.

In other news, I was pleased to see that Villarreal advanced (because I have a soft spot for them) and that Juventus didn't (because I, uhm, don't have a soft spot for them XD).AHAHAHAH. Oh, but if Juventus had gone through, we won't be stuck with YET ANOTHER LIVERPOOL-CHELSEA TIE in the CL, FFS, football God, can we stop seeing this clash ( ... )

I still have to comment on your post about the match, so you're definitely not late, and this is still up to date. :D (At least I keep telling myself that, otherwise I'd have to tell myself once again that I'm made of fail.)

You're right, Liverpool showed that they deserved to get through, and for that I'm very grateful. If I had any kind of antipathy, it wasn't for Liverpool for beating Real 4-0, it was for Real because they didn't do anything the fans expected from them. They made it up in La Liga after that, and maybe it's actually an advantage for them to have only one tournament now, so everything's fine.

LOL! Well, it wasn't like the Portugal vs Netherlands World Cup 2006 match, but there were lots of fouls compared to Real's standards. And somehow they managed to carry that over to La Liga against Athletic Bilbao. XD I hadn't seen them foul so much before! But that, of course, is just my subjective opinion. :)

Well, we're vying for the title of who can be latest at replying/commenting, aren't we? haha.

Oh man, I rememeber that match! the Portugal vs Netherlands match. God, that was dreadful! But well, I don't watch Real enough to know how much fouling is "normal" so I'll just take your word for it. =)

Now the only kind of match we haven't played against them yet is the CL final. (NO, THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR NEXT SEASON.)
IT BETTER NOT!!!! If it happens, I know who to glare at! XD
I am rather dreading the prospect of a United-Liv finals...I know I'm jumping the gun, but should we make it to the finals, United is our most likely opponent at the moment... *gulps*
