My car is blue! I forgot what color it used to be, because it looked kinda grey since last summer. Now I finally washed it and it's blue again. Of course, now you can see all the little scratches on it, too. That's ok, I don't drive it much anyway. motivation
I don't have any motivation to work. I've been "working" on this stock chart update project for the last week, and did maybe half an hour of actual work. For some reason it's like that with every project I do - I come in and read email, browse the web, read ST.N forums, look at the code for 5 minutes, then go check email again and browse the web ( Read more... ) -
brake bleeders
Yesterday night I put the MityVac I got to use for the first time to bleed the brakes on my car. What a pain! It's supposed to take 10-15 minutes per wheel normally to bleed your brakes - I spent 4.5 hours doing this. And the worst part is, even though all the brake fluid is flushed and replaced with the new one, there is MORE air in the system ( Read more... ) -

Just got me a Garmin GPS V. Ended up being just over $300 with shipping. Got it on eBay, brand new in a box, with the MapSource CitySelect maps including the unlock code. Now playing around with it, but it doesn't have very good reception in the building. Although sitting on my kitchent table near the window right now, I can see it locked on 4 ( Read more... ) -
damn it!
My helmet fell off the bike seat this morning onto a concrete floor. Argh! It was only a few months old, too! After getting to work and examining it more carefully, it seems like no styrofoam inside was compressed, so I don't have to replace it. Went riding today with some people - I've been riding for the last 2 weeks, but it seems that it was their first ride of the season. I remembered why I don't like to ride with most of them - they think doing 125 on I-66 is ok, as is doing wheelies and stoppies with a bunch of cars around. MRA windscreen
I got my MRA windscreen delivered on Friday and installed it today. To my surprise, it wasn't shipped in a box, just wrapped in a thin styrofoam bag inside a plastic bag. Of course, one of the little tabs broke off - I'm still wondering why in the world it wasn't packed in a box and how it survived the shipping without more damage. Anyway, I ( Read more... ) -
cool bike
I don't like the looks of it too much, but it is a very cool bike nonetheless. And lighter than a VFR by about 60 pounds, too. If they had only made it look better... something's gotta be done about that ugly frame. Maybe painting the frame flat black would make it look better.
