So, I was like...hey, I still remember my LJ login.  So I was I should post something.  Anyone else out there somewhere? 

For the benefit of a few folks who know me from here and not elsewhere, I'm okay.  I wasn't on the aircraft we lost last night.   Thoughts and prayers for my fallen collegues are desperately needed.  A sad, sad night.

So, I have an interesting history with structural collapses...

Some of you may remember how a letter fell off my workplaces signage and landed on my car...
I had alarmingly close to being on the bridge at Minneapolis when it collapsed...
And now I came SCARILY close to being right here...

I got a fantastic Mothers Day present today: After more than 48 hours away from my darling little girl, I got to come home to her. She missed me. I missed her.
