California is great, we like it here. The weather is nice but - we haven't really made any new friends yet and that is shitty beyond belief. We had to take an 80 dollar cab ride home from the airport when we got back into town last month.

Unfortunately, it's not a replacement for real live people you can see.
Babies are good for friends though.
They're kind of like when guys take a puppy to a park looking for a date.
With babies - Mom's gravitate toward other Mom's with babies.
You can start looking for Mommy groups now to give you something to do.
If you're planning on nursing you can start going to Le Lache League groups now.
They're helpful just due to all the information and also just having numbers
to call if you need help or advice.
And there are plenty of Mom's there with at least one thing in common.
Mommy groups help *you* out, but not always Brandon.
So many of them are mother centric only, leaving the guy out.
But it might be a start if you do click with someone then
chances are their significant other probably isn't a dick.
