Heh.. if I was on a certain drug that pizza would absolutely be the most awesome thing to have. However I'm not which means that I don't want that pizza.... as much. Still a small amount of sick curiosity is tugging at me.

It would be something I would invite people over for a movie night and say I'm getting pizza. Get a few pies and that. Then see who eats it.

I'd be very interested in the results. Not enough to actually take a bite, mind you... but more in watching the faces of others as they take their first bites.

Ali's first comment on the whole idea came after a long pause: "Eww!"

their focus group, and their target audience for this product, is not homeless mental patients, it's stoners. "oh, man, i've got the munchies so bad... let's order pizza! hey, wow, like, dessert pizza! lotsa crushed-up Oreos and vanilla frosting... wow, duuude, sugar rush! let's get two of 'em!"

actually, it sounds kinda good...

actually, homeless people are more likely to be winos or junkies (or meth-heads) than pot-smokers, or else they are similarly incapacitated by untreated mental illness. but there are more than you might think who are neither addicts nor lunatics, perfectly rational people who are homeless for one reason or another. i have an online friend (he doesn't do LJ, though) who chose to live on the street for about three years when his then-wife threw him out of the house. he'd been unemployed for about a year, having been caught up in the dot-com collapse, and she felt that a husband's main purpose in her world was to support the family. he had some money coming in from his veteran's pension, and he calculated it carefully, and determined that he could live fairly well on his pension, as long as he didn't have to pay rent. and he lived in a relatively mild climate in central California. he even continued to spend a lot of time online, by hanging out in a local community college and using their connectivity. in return, he helped a lot of the ( ... )

*twitch*

Couldn't they at least put ice cream on it? That much frosting is gonna taste like sugary library paste.

I must admit that I'm not even that fond of Oreo bits in ice cream. I don't find that I like things in ice cream much. I like my ice cream soft serve and simple, you know?

I can certainly understand your feelings. I like it now and then, but I can see where you're coming from.

Man, that is a fricking wack commercial. That said, I don't think I'd want an oreo pizza although I do like the cinnamon pizza that Papa John's makes.

I'm just left cold by the idea of dessert pizzas. Then again, since I don't eat pizza in the first place, I simply might not be the target demographic.

That would make sense. OTOH I am in the target demographic and I think the whole thing is disgusting... both the idea and the commercial... waaaay too sweet for me even when I get depressed and want to eat sweets like they're going out of style.
