My gift to my nephew, Stevie Ray, is a Kobo E-reader. It is not on his Wish list, which included game called Modern War, a bean bag chair, headphones and a pile of Lego.  However, he does love to read and this way he can carry books to read on the bus when he commutes to school each day. prefer the looks of that to the kindle. Great idea to put it in a 'book'.

Wired Magazine has named the Kobo top e-reader. It's easy to put all sorts of books on, using Calibre free software. It reads e-pub and PDF. I understand it works well for Europeans. Kribu has one.

I don't like being tied to one company, nor do I want anyone to have control over content which I understand Amazon has the ability to do.

yeah, i have caliber too with over 5,000 books on it, so i won't be troubling amazon in the near future.

One year I gave him the Dangerous Book for boys with a wooden box containing, cord, folding knife, magnifying glass and magnet. He kinda freaked out his teacher by taking the knife to school.
