What I just finished reading:
eva moves the furniture which i ended up mostly liking altho i kept reading it thinking you've got ghosts! because it's obvious that's who the companions are. the main character meets a nice jewish boy who isn't just "the jewish

Going Postal was a great book! (Although really I like anything he wrote. He's really good. Was good. Sob.)

I've been sending out my favorite reads of the year as gifts to friends this year. Nettle & Bone, The Frugal Wizards Handbook for Surviving Medieval England, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, D: A Tale of Two Worlds, Under the Whispering Door and The Secret Lives of Puppets. All beautiful stories I just had to share with people.

Next on my list of books to get and read is Legends and Lattes and The Priory of the Orange Tree, both of which have been strongly recommended by my friends as something "up my alley".

ooh, book recs. i've heard of the invisible life of addie larue but not the rest of your gift books. i read legends and lattes and will join your friends in recommending it. high fantasy, low stakes, lots of coffee. it's really cute.
