I quite like the faerie world ones from where I grew up which are mostly "don't go behind this stone around sunset" or "don't pass through that hole in the tree trunk". Natural formations having implicit power to be boundaries. As for hell I always like the urban legends stuff: http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/11-hidden-spots-to-enter-the-underworld also

(having no beginning is a lot less of a problem than having no ending. You can always extrapolate).

oooh, gateways to hell. the only one i know is stull cemetery, which is in kansas somewhere. more freaky places in the world is never a bad thing.

I couldn't find the site I was specifically looking for, which is portals to the underworld in London. Urban legend-y stuff.

you say "portals to the underworld in london" and i imagine hidden doors leading to gangster hideouts. which is just as exciting as portals to the other kind of underworld.

That's cool about curling! I always thought of curling as one of those sports that's boring to watch but fun to play?

i think it's kind of fun to watch, but that's only because i know what's going on. it might be more fun to play, tho.
