stuff! things! also curling!
1 my flist! what are your favoring stories/myths/folktales/etc about hell/the land of the dead/the underworld/faerie/etc (yes i know one of those is not like the others)? how you get there, why you get there, how you get out of there, what/who else is there, etc etc.
2 i'm watching making history and it is very, very stupid, but it's supposed to be, and i'm still entertained. maybe that's the solution to a decent time travel show - make it a dumb comedy. because seriously, it's so silly. is anyone else watching it?
3 my curling team won tonight! we got six points in one end, which is a lot and which was also a fluke, and that changed everything. but then there wasn't a bartender at the bar, so we couldn't really broomstack (that's the fun socializing part after the game, where the winning team buys the losing team's drinks, and everyone sits around a chats), so the fun socializing broke up early, but then there were leftovers in the kitchen so i had some tortellini and brought home a couple of half-size meatball subs for dinner. i went to the grocery store today and bought food, and last night i went to my sister's to watch the last hobbit movie and eat chinese takeout, so i have chinese leftovers in my fridge, but it's hard to say no to a meatball sub.
3a also i have girl scout cookies. :D
4 apparently scientists from harvard have determined that fast radio bursts (they're an astronomy thing) could be caused by aliens. more specifically, they could come from a giant alien device used to power alien spacecraft. imagine a planet-sized refueling station for alien spaceships. and then imagine harvard scientists taking the idea seriously.
5 my bigbang is now 18k and has a lot of ending and no beginning. >.< i still have a month and a half to figure out what the beginning is, but still. there's no beginning!
