I read about the reboot and was shocked it was still even ON TBH. I loved the batshit. I don't plan to watch the reboot. :/

Kate Spade makes me drool.

it's not a reboot! it's the new season! it just feels like a reboot, because it's in dc and not sleepy hollow, and except for ichabod and jenny, everyone and everything is new. i miss the batshit, and that's not something i ever thought i'd say. i don't expect it to get a season after this, but who knows, maybe lots of people will watch.

i don't think any of her clothes will fit me, but the bags! i love the bags. if i ever won the lottery i'd buy a bunch.

I don't watch that shoe, but I have to say it's not always a good thing when show lose their gleeful batshit. Sometimes the gleeful batshit makes you roll your eyes so hard, but it's gleeful and somehow it flies. But then they decide to start taking themselves seriously. Like oh, never mind how we had an episode in which Lincoln was a zombie back in S1. Now we'll be a serious show. And just, no. No, show.

it wasn't batshit for a lot of s3 either. the first season was just so nuts - even if i was always yelling at it because its relationship to actual history is, uh, let's go with "casual" - they threw everything into the story soup and didn't care if it made sense or not. it was gleefully insane. now it's just normally insane. the episode involves the statue of lincoln in the lincoln memorial losing its head somehow. like, someone cut it off. and lincoln himself was apparently killed by some kind of demon, and mary todd was a demon-hunter or some such thing. maybe it's taking itself more seriously than it used to, i don't know.

There's no parking on the even side of our street. We can try the driveway, which is steep and tandem, but I have a feeling we'll end up in a muni lot.

i live across from a ballfield, so there's a lot of space on that side because there are no people on that side. but i live on the opposite side and i miss not having to move my car. i hope you find a place for yours!

I loved Sleepy Hollow the first season and then wandered away. I am a bit shocked that it's still going! Maybe I will have to revisit.

Those bags!!! Coach has a dino thing going on right now, too. Rexy the TRex - http://www.coach.com/search?q=dinosaur&spu=0&CID=S_B992033 Daughter has a large Rexy purse charm (purse charm???) and there is much squeeing everytime she goes out and it's spotted.

i'm surprised it's still going too! i think the ptb tried to change it into a different show around s3, and it wasn't as good. the batshit was so nuts but so fun, and now it's just normal weird. it's not terrible, but it's definitely not the same.

i love it when high-end designers get into dinosaur whimsy. i don't get purse charms either, but that's adorable. if i saw your daughter's purse in the wild i'd squee too.

I didn't think the new partner was supposed to be the new witness, maybe her daughter though? The final scene made me think it might be her daughter though- not only was she drawing Crane, despite never having met him, I think the timeline works that the aphasia/passing out thing that was briefly mentioned might have been when Abbie died? I don't know. Overall, the show kind of stumbles over the fact it's dropped completely all the FBI stuff from last season and doesn't acknowledge the fact this new agency/whatever has existed forever but the FBI didn't know about it or have access to it or anything yet Homeland Security does. Oops. I still like it enough to keep watching though, so that's something.

the daughter's so young, tho. but it would definitely be a switch if she was the witness. i didn't even think of that. and it feels like a new show, so i'm not surprised the ptb dropped the fbi and introduced this totally new previously-unknown government agency. unless we're supposed to think sleepy hollow law enforcement and the local fbi worked in such a bubble that they had no contact with other agencies. the sudden appearance of a massive archive of old historical shit and assorted artifacts - a massive archive that didn't seem all that secret, for once - struck me as highly coincidental and a fairly transparent attempt to make it even easier to move the setting to dc, by transplanting anything ichabod might need to his new city. i don't know. he's still charming and i kinda liked diana and it was good to see jenny being a badass, but overall, eh. i miss abbie. :(

Yeah, the new agency thing was a bit of an obvious last minute addition to the SH overall lore, something I've seen happen on many shows before and it's always annoying. I'm not sure WHY they bothered with the move to DC in the first place. The show is still being filmed in the same place (Georgia) so it's not like there was any burning need to move? *sigh* I dunno. It's also a bit weird that the new people don't seem to know/care about Crane's dead-for-200 years thing. Oh well. Here's hoping it'll all make sense eventually.

they don't know or care because he didn't tell them. he's trying to be a modern guy who just dresses like a colonial-era englishman. which means we're probably not going to get fun instances of ichabod vs the 21st century! which i will miss.

i guess they're really trying to start over - no abbie, new witness, may as well move to a new city and refresh the mythology with a new historical era. ichabod has no attachment to dc, tho, so it's a lot less personal. i don't think it's going to be as interesting.
