did some laundry, shoveled some snow, as per usual

so it stopped snowing last night, altho according to my sister it snowed some again this morning. it was light and fluffy and really pretty, especially after the sun came out, and aside from the wind, it was a lot less blizzardy than i was given to expect. altho i don't know what it was like along the coast, or anywhere that wasn't, like, right

There are ice and snow mountains taller than a person O.o It's like you could fall in there (while excavating your car on the curb side, say) and disappear into Fairyland, to not be found again until May. and i don't even have a driveway! i can't imagine how frustrating it is to have to shovel your driveway for the third time this month.

i should've taken a picture of the narrow path on the next block, on the way to the chinese takeout place. tall snow mountains, narrow little walkway. i almost did fall into one last night! with my takeout, even! so i would've had sustenance of my own in fairyland. :D

Yeah, but would they let you into Fairyland with your own Chinese takeout? That sounds awfully practical and unfairy-like. Maybe with a box of Rafaello, those coconut ball candy filled with cream, with an almond. (Yum.)

OH MY GOD. all the happy little trees are buried in snowdrifts!

theoretically i can get to work - i mean, there's a bus that goes to the t station that will actually take me into the city - but a. it's going to be slow in the office, and b. it's probably going to take forever to get there. but i don't always love working from home. and i'm pretty sure i'm going to fee like a giant slack-ass if i can get to work and don't go. argh. why can't they just close the office?
