SPN RPS AU Rec and a Big Thank You!

Just peeking out from under the wet blanket I've taken to lately to rec a really wonderful SPN RPS AU (the most wonderful alphabet soup - evah!) I cannot for the life of me explain why am so totally OK with RPS when it comes to these guys. Per usual, you have made me all kinds of giddy. I'll definitely check out the journals. It's funny because there are other actors that are even more touchy-feely than the actors on SPN (Milo and Adrian, the entire male cast of LotR) but I'm just not interested beyond some hearty and sincere squee!. And, proving that I can compartmentalize like no ones business, I don't care for John/Dean slash but I love RPS with them or imagining them as OC's. I'm actually making some progress on that story I told you about with them cast front and center. They make it so much fun.

It's really weird, I like Dean and John's relationship on screen and all the complexity of it. I can't read Dean/John slash, it sort of squicks me, though. On the other hand Jensen and Jeff have this special vibe together. It's something that cannot be explained and that has nothing to do with the actors, but mostly with the sparkles they ignite when they are together. Besides, I dare someone to find two men that are more sexy than them :D *iz shallowz*

I intend to make a post about Heroes, I'm waiting to be caught up with the first season. I love, love Adrian Pasdar. He is so actractive and charming.

LOL. Oh me, too. There's that scene at the end of season one where John is possessed by the demon and he steps up to Dean to taunt him. They're almost nose to nose and when I see stills of them at that moment JDM is always looking at JA's mouth. Needless to say, I am not thinking about John and Dean I'm thinking JA and JDM must be setting off small fires wherever they go. They definitely have chemistry to spare. I love, love, love the John and Dean moments as father and son but, like you, when it comes to that vibe between them it's something that I want to explore outside of those characters.

It really does feel good to be writing. I am so in awe of people who are disciplined writers but I am so not one of them. ::sheepish grin:: One day though, I really need to push myself and participate in something like mini_nanowrimo. Right now I'm discovering the joy of following - although not religiously - an outline instead of writing bits and pieces and cobbling it together sometime later. I know most writers use one all the

Thanks for the rec! Oh man, I so hear you on SPN RPS. Jared and Jensen successfully broke down my wall against RPS. I told myself I wouldn't read it, it was a line I wouldn't cross, but for some reason or another I happened to read one (I think it started with cherryscott's Dean/Jared Damaged 'verse), and even though I'm really picky about the sorts of fics I enjoy, Jared/Jensen is now one of my OTPs.

And there are so many amazing authors in that fandom. lady_janelly's Scar 'verse is a beautiful Jared/Jensen AU, audrarose's Whistler!fic is smutty schmoop, and watersword's Find That Handsome Devil is guh and gorgeous.

Though for all that I love Jared/Jensen, my favorite RPS just might be sori1773's Jensen/JDM Any Other Day.

Oh sweetheart! Thank you! I am just going to be beside myself for days on end checking out all these recs. Thank you thank you! In every other instance I've always found the characters more interesting than the actors that play them but these guys have me turning over rocks looking for more fic about them. ::throws up hands:: Can't say why...
