Фотография первая: мальчик сажает деревце -
Непонятно, в каком году, но, видать, в апреле,
Потому что дымок от сжигаемых листьев стелется,
А листвы ещё нет, а скворцы уже прилетели.

Фотография два: почти ничего не сдвинулось,
И такая же кружит стайка скворцов беспечных,
Только выросло дерево, крона его раскинулась,
И подросток к нему приколачивает скворечник.

Вот ещё:
молодой человек с чемоданом кожаным.
Он на дерево смотрит - прощаться, наверно, вышел.
Он уйдёт по дорогам неведомым и нехоженым,
А скворечник-то с каждым годом всё выше, выше…

И ещё один кадр: отдыхает старик под деревом,
Вспоминает былое - выходит и так, и этак.
Ему кажется счастье то найденным, то потерянным,
Будто этот скворечник, что прячется в гуще веток.

Но когда его жизнь отпоёт, отзвенит монетками,
И последняя мысль промелькнёт, как всегда, нелепо -
Заполощется дерево листьями, вздрогнет ветками,
И как брызги, скворцы разлетятся до края неба.
