Last night, during the 3rd debate between Obama and McCain, I got this text message from a friend:My Obama friends, can somebody tell me who "Joe the plumber" is and how he is making over two fiddy grand a year cause he is gonna be my new husband!
Hahaha! My friend was a fellow volunteer in Philadelphia, where I flew in April to canvass for Obama. ( Read more... )

Indeed. The whole time I originally watched the Obama vs. Joe discussion, in the back of my mind I was going "250,000? That's...dude you're not middle class. What are you so upset about?"

Greedy, planted mofo.

Aaand according to DailyKos (grain of salt time), he may be related to Charles Keating:

Joe is a Libertarian Republican? Great! anonymous October 17 2008, 11:56:13 UTC
This is supposed to be a negative for Joe the Plumber, that he's unlicensed, a registered Republican, and a small business owner who doesn't like regulations.

My gosh. This makes him an even bigger hero! There's a huge backlash going on now against Obama over his redistributionist/socialist remarks. The guy's a Commie, and Americans now know it, thanks to Joe.

Obama's going down.

He's not a business owner at all. He hopes to be.

Obama wants to bring taxes back to where they were under Bill Clinton, who was not a "Commie" or "Socialist." It's call the "progressive tax," which we Americans have had throughout our history. Very American.

I'm not sure why you imply that it's bad to have your name misspelled in the voter database. As an election judge myself, I get quite a few people who come in saying, "My name is Smith, but it's going to be spelled Smyth in your book, I've tried to get them to change it so many times and they never do no matter how many corrected forms I fill out ( ... )
