smashing a dark red scorpion with lee's running shoe while lee stands on the chest & my father talks about my grandfather's heart surgery on the telephone.

2. pacing in the car port. one hundred circles.

3. another scorpion in the trap. this leads to scorpion hunting with a black light.

4. bike ride in the dark. four snakes all dead in the road.

deer everywhere in the road & i am a little bit drunk & trying not to hit them in my uncle's sedan. this city at night makes me jittery. the heat is incredible & heavy, feels somehow like being in bed all the time, even when i am walking or moving the car or talking to the chickens in the yard. i feel okay being sad in the heat. it feels deeply ( Read more... )

driving through the mountains in tennessee listening to little plastic castle was pretty nice. memphis at sunset with the music from the baseball game & the black mississippi was nice too. i would have liked to see memphis with you. i think you would really like the way nothing else matters about the city once you have seen the river ( Read more... )

at the mall, i left my shopping bag with all my new things in it near the halter top table at the GAP. when i went back to get it three minutes later it was gone & had not been turned in anywhere. on the way home my sister's sun roof flew off & all the cars behind us swerved around. thank god it did not hit anyone ( Read more... )

last night i dreamed that bad guys chopped up all of my stuffed animals while i slept. i couldn't find little thinky's head anywhere.

today i couldn't run very far at all.
