Floods, mini update #2

July 6 (Monday)
It's been 9 days since the washer overflowed and no one has even looked at it, much less tried to fix it.
Called a tried to leave a message.
No one came out.

Chuckle. I've lived in apartments or rented homes most of my life so this seems perfectly believable to me. Appalling of course, too ( ... )

Yeah. I wish I knew how. First there's finding the other place that
1. might be marginally better; 2. is directly on the bus line 3. costs what I can pay 4. takes two cats without insisting the first joints of their toes be removed. 5. is reasonably close to a size in which I can fit everything.

Then there's the moving. I have all sorts of issues here, including being unable to do much packing or any of the physical moving and not having nearly enough cash to pay for packers and movers. Heck, I have stuff here in the apartment I would like thrown out right now, that I can't get down to the dumpster. That's one of the reasons my apartment is so crowded.

I've never lived in a condo but I suspect that condo owners have a lot more clout than do people who rent apartments.
Having said that, you may live in a terrible condo compared to most of them.
I sympathize.
