Despite not having a working washing machine, I take pride in the fact that I can pull a Mary Poppins and 'find an element of fun in any job that must be done'. *grins* I had a bathtub full of water, laundry detergent and clothes, and must have resembled a kind of demented witch, stirring my soapy 'cauldron' with the reverse end of the mop. I'm sort of ashamed to admit that while I was upset for you when I read about that math teacher, my next thought was: Oh, well. That's the way it goes. I've sort of become accustomed to the unfairness and utter shit that China can throw your way. I feel apathetic, to put it bluntly. I can't believe China has crushed my spirit before I've even visited it! D:

That's wonderful to hear about the kittens! It's gonna be rough for the next few months, but your head was right when they said it's a worthwhile hassle.
