Bologna Salad

This is one of my favorite sandwiches growing up. I still love it to this day, though I haven't had it in years. I will probably make a bunch of it next week. Oddly enough, I don't really care for sliced bologna. Oh, and my sister craved this the entire time she was pregnant

My MIL used to make this, only she shredded cheese into it also (can you shread cheese food product? if so i'm sure that was it)

shoot, I got a mini chopper for my birthday this year and I have always wondered if I could dice pickles rather small with it (cause I use diced pickles in my potato salad and less work and mess is A-OK with me!)...have you ever tried that with pickles?

My mom makes this (I never liked it myself) with a meat grinder instead of a shredder. My dad didn't know this, and used the food processor instead once...

Actually, I can't remember if it was the FP or the blender he used... whichever, he made it a liquid, baby-food like product, which, considering how I feel about the original, was really stomach-turning to me. I bet it was the blender, since the FP would give more control, and allow a proper texture for this mix.
