Sure he eventually heard what had happened on the ship, not that he'd known what was going on at the time. Nokosi never did use his comm and so he was never aware of the messages sent on them. Not that he was any good at reading, anyways.

Regardless, his friend was cooped up in the Med Bay, probably feeling all lonely unless she was annoyed at the outcome. Probably annoyed, worried and feeling down all at once. He really had no idea how she could feel so many things at once.

Oh, there she was. Tied down.

Nokosi walked over to Ronnae, and leaned down to her level, "This is probably far more uncomfortable than it looks, is it not?"

She smiled a little noticing Nokosi walk in. She was however embarrassed that he had to see her like this, she never did like feeling vulnerable, and Kain certainly went to far ends to make everyone facing him vulnerable.

"H-hey Kosi... It is, I know... I sorta deserved it... But you know how I get around needles." She admitted shyly. "I should be fine now, they did a good job healing and, you know my body heals fast. So I can't blame them for doing their job."

He began unbuckling the straps as she spoke, a wry smile on his face.

"I know. It is a bit funny, is it not? You do not even flinch at a sword or spear coming your way, but a tiny needle will conjure up enough panic for you to level a building." Nokosi eyed her carefully once he finished and kneeled before her.

"You risked your life," he said, more of a statement than anything.

Her face was downcast, she could tell the worry in her friends face easily, but it was his voice that felt pained.

"I... I'm sorry to have worried you Kosi. I wouldn't have if it wasn't necessary." Feeling the nice cool air hitting the sore spots were the binds had held her down felt nice. She rubbed at them, still looking down.

"Hey."

There was Lash. All 150 some lbs of compressed, jealous tsuntsun looking down at her. Wondering why the hell she was here in the first place. She shouldn't care about dumb Ronnae and dumb Billy's girlfriend and this is dumb and also dumb.

She didn't have anything else to say, so she just looked down without saying a word more. Awkward.

"Hey."

She looked at Lash curiously, she had seen her plenty of times, however hadn't had the chance to really talk with her before. Making the situation a bit more embarrassing considering the predicament she was in.

She smiled nonetheless if anything a bit timidly, "M-medical staff? Or?"

The wunderkindd flipped from one foot to another before turning around and looking at all of the equipment, poking them.

"No," she replied in a soft monotone voice, poking at some tubes with pretend interest. "I never had full medical training, just enough how to work at the clone machines." She paused. "That doesn't mean I can't use them!" Showing any kind of weakness was unacceptable.

It was...odd. Ronnae reminded her a bit of Beast boy. A shy-like female version of him. Was this the type of girl Billy liked? A little too loudly she sighed, before turning around again. "Nah I'm just here to..."

Ronnae studied her, if anything out of sheer curiosity and intrigue.

"W-well that's v-very kind of you, thanks~ I'm Ronnae, Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos. I... I'd bow but I sort of can't at the moment..." She blushed a bit.

[hit_girl_mindy]

"Hey you," Hit Girl said, finally having the wig on, but walking with a noticeable limp. She still had yet to receive medical attention right away, it being more of a pride thing than anything else. She was in pain and preferred to remember that she would wear her injuries proudly, though not for too much longer,

"Did you get involved in the fight too?"

"Hey~" Ronnae shifted a bit in place to greet Hit Girl.

"Yeah... I wasn't going to let that crazy thing hurt Sasami... It seemed however that the odds were in his favor." she said bitterly.

[hit_girl_mindy]

"Yeeah, that might be my fault a little bit," Hit Girl confessed. "I sorta ran into that guy when he first popped in, and I should have done a ship wide post. In my defense though, I could barely type, and I was sorta concerned with warning Sasami first."

She made a face. "Well, temporarily until we handed him his ass back for him!"

[ronnae]

"Yeah? I'm glad you guys took care of him... I. I got reckless when he found Sasami... It took everything took everything to keep him from her..."

She laughed a bit bitterly. "It's funny, in the end what did me in was Negi by accident when I blocked Kain's attack while he was prone..."

[changelingdude]

"So I heard someone was being a big hero." Beastboy grinned cheerfully as he entered the room with a stuffed frog that he had found rooting around the lockers. "Brought you a little get well soon gift...cuz I have no idea how magic and fast these doctors are."

Ronnae blushed a bit, she wasn't expecting Beastboy for sure, but it was a pleasant sight to say the least. "Y-yeah? I think it was everyone else." She joked shyly.

She looked at the gift and smiled, "Thanks~ I told them I'd be fine... With their help my body heals faster but they're keeping me for observation and see if I'm well... Not to mention I sorta maybe made it hard for them..." she admitted embarrassed.

Beastboy laughed, "Lemme guess, you're not a big fan of doctors? Totally understandable." He passed the frog to her, "Heck I hate getting shots. I can't even look when I know that I need one. Makes me all oogly inside."

[ronnae]

"Really?" She blushed, laughing a bit. "I... I'm afraid of shots..." she admitted embarrassingly. "I can face down a plethora of creatures that would give most people nightmares, get injured by a slew of different weapons and almost killed... But looking at a needle sends me fleeing to the mountains... Some hero huh?" she laughed shyly.

Billy had been preoccupied with some very delicate work during the crisis, so it was very late before he heard the news. Fight in the City, several were injured---he immediately inquired to see if anyone he knew was hurt, and of course Ronnie was.

Alarmed, he hurriedly finished what he was doing and raced off for the med-bay, still grease-coated and wild-haired. Was he too late? What was wrong?

He skidded into the bay, ignoring the berating from doctors as he searched for his girlfriend. Ronnie, Ronnie---there she was, he sighed, letting out a breath when he finally spotted her. That breath was sucked right back in when he spotted the restraints holding her to a bed.

Billy rushed right over with a growl, his face some combination of 'extremely worried' and 'dangerously angry'. No one tied Ronnie to a bed and got away with it except him, and that was in a context of mutual trust.

"I'm so sorry I'm late, Ronnie," he fussed, resting a hand over hers. "What happened?"

She had been feeling downright horrid, specially after a few visits. But seeing Billy brought a happy spark to her eyes. "B-billy!" She cheered happily yet almost immediately dropping her smile when she tried moving.

She sighed, and smiled up at him a bit embarrassed.

"I sorta, maybe, kinda, gave the medical crew a hard time when they were trying to treat me..." She looked at her restraints. "S-so here I am..."

[morphitudinous]

That afraid of shots? He wished he could have been here to kiss her into relaxation about the injection again, and immediately he felt guilty.

"They'll let you out of these soon, right?" Billy wanted to know, leaning down and checking her wrists for damage. They had better, or they'd have an angry Billy on their hands.

"No, I meant...before that. I've heard there was a really intense battle and you were on the front lines." He looked at her guiltily, taking a seat on the bed and wrapping his hand around hers.

She shrugged, "N-no idea really. I just woke up not long ago, I guess they had to tranq me or s-something..."

She flushed at his touch, feeling the warmness run to her cheeks.

"Some creature wanted to kill Sasami... A very powerful one. It injured so many, but it... it was neutralized..." She looked away embarrassed. "I feel horrid... I fought with everything I learned... gave it my all to protect them all... And yet... And yet my recklessness is what did me in..."
