Sure he eventually heard what had happened on the ship, not that he'd known what was going on at the time. Nokosi never did use his comm and so he was never aware of the messages sent on them. Not that he was any good at reading, anyways.

Regardless, his friend was cooped up in the Med Bay, probably feeling all lonely unless she was annoyed at the outcome. Probably annoyed, worried and feeling down all at once. He really had no idea how she could feel so many things at once.

Oh, there she was. Tied down.

Nokosi walked over to Ronnae, and leaned down to her level, "This is probably far more uncomfortable than it looks, is it not?"

She smiled a little noticing Nokosi walk in. She was however embarrassed that he had to see her like this, she never did like feeling vulnerable, and Kain certainly went to far ends to make everyone facing him vulnerable.

"H-hey Kosi... It is, I know... I sorta deserved it... But you know how I get around needles." She admitted shyly. "I should be fine now, they did a good job healing and, you know my body heals fast. So I can't blame them for doing their job."

He began unbuckling the straps as she spoke, a wry smile on his face.

"I know. It is a bit funny, is it not? You do not even flinch at a sword or spear coming your way, but a tiny needle will conjure up enough panic for you to level a building." Nokosi eyed her carefully once he finished and kneeled before her.

"You risked your life," he said, more of a statement than anything.

Her face was downcast, she could tell the worry in her friends face easily, but it was his voice that felt pained.

"I... I'm sorry to have worried you Kosi. I wouldn't have if it wasn't necessary." Feeling the nice cool air hitting the sore spots were the binds had held her down felt nice. She rubbed at them, still looking down.

"You do not have to apologize for acting within your nature, Ronnae. Besides, it was for a noble end." He reached out and grabbed her wrist, inspecting it thoroughly. "Still, it is a comfort to see that you are well. Fontaine, in particular, was exceedingly uneasy over this news."

[ronnae]

She leaned forward and hugged her friend. "I'm glad to still be here." She rested her head on his shoulder, just like she used to do when they rested under a tree, being lazy and enjoying the relaxing afternoon.

As she leaned forward to rest her head, a flash of blue shimmered beside them and Fontaine materialized just in time to wedge his way between them.

Nokosi tumbled to the side and the wolf nuzzled his face against the girl, letting out a worried whimper.

Ronnae giggled, nuzzling her face against Fontaine's fur. "I'm fine see. I'm all better now." She smiled, scratching behind his ears and giving him a soft kiss on the top of his head.

"Fine, my ass. Tell her to stop throwing herself against impossible odds. That doesn't make you a hero and heroes aren't required to toss their lives away." Fontaine grumbled but licked the girl's hands.

Nokosi looked up at Ronnae from the floor. "He is giving me a lecture to tell you about what you should or should not do. It is rather boring." Fontaine growled and wedged himself more firmly between the two.

[ronnae]

She knelt and snuggled up to Fontaine giggling a bit. "You're always looking out for me Fontaine, I love you for it. Thanks. I'll try to stay out of trouble okay?" She nuzzled her face once more against him before turning to her friend. "It's fine, I know you both care for me very much. I'm sorry I worry you both so much." She smiled a bit embarrassed.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. It was a word he'd heard entirely too often from anyone and everyone and it covered so many situations. It was like the word had lost its meaning already. No matter, he could tell that she was earnest. It seemed like she could be nothing but.

"You need not apologize." Really? Why was he going to bother to say that again? Oh yes. Reassuring. "I am sure we give you plenty of things to worry about as well, given our relatively 'active' lifestyle," he murmured, picking himself off the floor.

"Yeah I s-suppose." She stood up as well, giving Fontaine a quick pat.

"I...." want to die... "w-want to g-go home..." She said simply, a bit startled at her own thoughts.

He stared at her for a long time, trying to judge just what her reaction meant. 'Yeah, I suppose' didn't really seem like something she would usually say to words like those, but she was probably mentally and physically tired from everything that had happened.

Using all his might to push Fontaine out of the way, he side-stepped in front of Ronnae before the wolf could regain his spot. He embraced her, probably tighter than he should have, given her state. "Well, we will take you home and then I will retrieve Billy for you," he offered.

She welcomed the familiar embrace, resting her head against his chest happily. The moment felt too familiar, the times he'd comforted her after a violent or degrading day at school. She closed her eyes, taking in the moment before smiling, looking up at her most cherished of friends. "H-home sounds nice~"

Nokosi motioned towards the wolf giving him a less than pleased look. "You can ride Fontaine." He paused, "Is it alright for you to leave, now? If it is not I suppose we could just sneak out..." he trailed off then shrugged. He patted Fontaine's back and put an arm around her, "You will of course have to tell me all about your heroic fight sooner than later."

She smiled happily, hopping her small frame on the large wolf, patting it's side and scratching it. "I guess we'll find out when we bolt out of here huh?" With that, she kissed Fontaine's ear and whispered 'take me home please' sweetly.
