Shop 'Till You Drop! [SO VERY OPEN]

It was nice to be out on solid ground, to breathe fresh and salt-tinged air, and to feel the real warmth of the sun on her neck and shoulders, Nanoha thought. She felt a very deep urge welling up within her breast to just take flight, to soar through an actual sky in the first time in months - and she had no doubt that she would ( Read more... )

"You're right, they do look cute. Let's go inside!" Fate said as she allowed Nanoha to drag her along, smiling at the other girl's excitement. Sure, she had a bad feeling Nanoha was going to take advantage of this shopping trip to get her into something embarrassing... but she didn't really care that much.

Oh, not yet, Fate. Not... yet. Nanoha let go of Fate's hand to inspect the suits on the walls and hanging on the racks. She reached out to pick up a sky-blue one, holding it up in front of her and turning to Fate. "Hmm. What do you think about this one, Fate-chan?"

Fate turned away from the swimsuits she had been looking at to examine the one Nanoha picked out, head tilting to the side a little as she thought.

"I think it looks nice. It suit you."

"I think so too! ...but we don't want to just decide so early, right? There are still so many we haven't seen yet!"

Don't look now, Fate, but there's a small little black one hanging right beside your head. And Nanoha's looking right at it right now. "Oh! How about that one for you?"

Ye Olde Music Shoppe (Only, you know, not actually spelled that way) psi_flames June 12 2010, 21:27:21 UTC
Jono wanted real clothes. Jeans and some t-shirts. Anything that didn't pulse, though he was almost used to it by now. Didn't mean he necessarily liked it after so long without one of his own.

But that could wait until he made the big purchase. Because he wanted to be absolutely certain he had the money for something major. Something he hadn't been able to find in W&P for whatever reason.

He wanted a guitar. Everything else could wait. Which was why he'd tracked down the music shop, stopping in the doorway to just stare at all the instruments on the wall. Blimey, he muttered.

Kate was also looking for more real clothes and food. Food that could hold up being stored. Because even packaged and canned food beats slop any day. She found a cello there, but it wasn't hers. Not really. She wanted her own, plus a bow, a stand and sheet music.

She almost bumped into Jono because of her focus toward the stringed instruments.

"Oh, excuse me." She then eyed the wall, "Wow... nice selection."

Aye. Was thinkin' the same thing meself. He knew Kate because they'd been on the ship together so long. He didn't know her well, mostly because he was a bit anti-social, but he knew her. Not sure I recognize some of 'em, though. Suppose 'at has t' do with it bein' a multi-dimensional resort.

Kate nodded, she likewise knew him, knew him mostly as being with Xavier's group, and so they haven't spoken much, "Probably have to test them, see what sounds familiar."

She gave a small grin as she added, "Didn't know you're really into music too."

For people who want to head to a clothing store... capture_worlds June 12 2010, 22:28:15 UTC
Having successfully completed the primary objective, Tsukasa thought about something he still needed: some extra clothes. The stuff Reinforce made for him was nice, but one outfit does not a wardrobe make.

So, he found himself at a nice little clothing store, looking around for some outfits that he thought would serve his needs.

If there was one thing Euphemia needed right now, it was clothing. She was still clad in that plantsuit with a button-up shirt long enough to be a dress over it; she felt distinctly awkward dressed like this.

She wandered into the same clothing store Tsukasa was in, and started rummaging around, starting in the women's section, but then moving over to the men's section. Maybe she could find something nice for Lelouch...

He had a couple of ideas for outfits, but he wanted to look around some more before making any final decisions. He turned a corner, and passed Euphemia.

"Afternoon, miss." This cannot bode well for Tsukasa Kadoya.

Hearing a voice greeting her, Euphie turned and smiled... and froze.

Weren't they all dead? They were, she'd thought... Oh, but that was a naive assumption. Surely, given the multitude of worlds out there, other people from other Japans had survived.

"Good afternoon," she replied, suddenly trembling very visibly. "Excuse me-- would you mind telling me your name?" Maybe he wasn't Japanese. He could be Chinese, she argued to herself. Korean, perhaps. She was no good at telling them apart.

Luke pulled out his omnicomm to check over the list he'd made on the way down as they walked past the rows of tourist-y stores and toward the ones where the actual day-to-day, mundane living went on. Back home, meals for stowing on ships were packaged, vacuum-sealed, and bought by the hundred in crates. Here, that wasn't much of an option. As this was a resort planet, the items in any given meal had to be purchased and stored separately, rather than prepackaged. Not that this bothered Luke much.

With a light touch on the speeder's yoke, he turned in front of one of the stores they'd been given in their directory of the planet and shut off.

"Okay," he said to Mara and Ben. "We're gonna get the things on this list and take it back to Stacy and the Shadow, then we're free to do anything else." He pointed at Ben. "If you find that snack you used to like, we are not getting more than two packages."

Ben rolled his eyes as he vaulted out of the speeder. "While you two wipe out their stash of caf and chocolate?"

"Caf and chocolate aside," Mara said as she got out of the speeder, pushing sunglasses up on her nose. "Let's try to get something healthy. Tasty, but healthy."

She prodded her son with a finger. "No twenty pound bags of candy."

With a couple pushes of the omnicomm's buttons, Luke sent the shopping list off to Mara's and Ben's as well, and shook his head, listening with half an ear to the two of them. It was good to be a family like this.

"A Jedi knows moderation with their favorite foods," he said dryly. "Let's get this over with so we can enjoy the rest of our time here.

It was really fun having time to frolick in the water: she had no idea when it was going to happen again, so she freely enjoyed herself. Now that it was over and Sokka had no interst clothes shopping with her, Katara had gone off on her own, looking for something to wear, now that she had the chance. She had seen some of the people on the ship and waved at them as they passed by, hoping she might speak with them if she had the chance.

For now, she was off on her own, and was planning to look well.

Katara has already made a list, being as orderly as she can. "Let me see: blouses, shirts, pants, dresses, shoe...OOF!"

She was so into what she was going to get that she ran into someone. She was going to apologize when she noted the person: it was someone from the ship. Katara is actually not in her plantsuit, since she's still drying in her bathing suit.

"Oh, sorry," she said, offering the striking woman a sheepish smile. Wow, she was pretty. "Got a little caught up in my list!"

Nura rubs at her head, laughing off the slight ache on the slight smarting bump on her head. "It's alright, Dear, no harm done." As she shakily gets her bearings, she puts out her hand for the person that she's bumped into to take. "I should be the one who should be apologizing."

This is when she gets a good look at the person she fell with: she's a lovely young lady, with a certain air to her that Nura really likes. A genuinely happy young girl. On the ship, it usually is a large amount of grief and "I miss my home". Of which Nura partook in. But perhaps that is because she hasn't really met a lot of the people on the ship yet.

But it sure is nice to meet someone so bright.
