On the scale of 1 to 10, this ranked an 11. It was definitely something Xehanort would come up with, that smarmy bastard being the root of all problems.

Dressed in basically that plantsuit, he cupped his mouth and yelled at the top of his lungs to get over the crowd.

"AQUA! VEN! WHERE ARE YOU?!"

Aqua gasped at the familiar voice. It was one she never thought she'd hear again.

"Terra," she realized, turning and running.

"Terra!"

"Aqua!" exclaimed Terra, moving in to sweep his friend in a hug. God he was worried sick about her!

"You... you look great," he said finally. "What happened? What happened with Xehanort? I remember us getting separated when he attacked..."

Aqua couldn't answer for a long time. She just held onto him tightly, tears running down her face. He was there. They both had been. Maybe it wasn't for very long, but she'd gotten the chance to see both Ven and Terra, and they were safe. And together.

"I'm sorry," she said, pulling away to wipe her eyes.

Kati resisted the urge to twitch or try to adjust the plantsuit she'd been given. At the moment she was wondering whether to treat this as a dream or some kind of complex hallucination... the trouble was, people weren't usually aware when they were dreaming or hallucinating. That was part of what made something a hallucination.

But however... real... or not this situation proved to be, the best thing to do would be to get on with it. (At least now she was clean.)

There were a number of people here besides her. Most seemed bewildered, but that was about the only thing that was shared. Kati strode around, eyes flicking back and forth and wondering who it was she was supposed to be 'important' to.

Sumeragi couldn't resist heading up when she heard the announcement. A gift... that was an uncertain start, given the start. And when the gift itself was revealed - her breath hitched a little in her chest. Someone important to them. The Meisters were all here, so who could it be? Billy? A little voice whispered another name, into the back of her mind, but she quashed it, fast. Even if Neil and Chris were here, to bring him back....

No. Too much to hope for. But it was still with a sort of tight, nervous anticipation that she scanned the crowd, looking for familiar faces.

Kati wasn't sure who she'd been looking for. Patrick, maybe. Aggravating though he was, he had anchored himself and his career to her (and all right, it was kind of endearing in an absurd way). Maybe one of her other soldiers; a commander could mean a lot to a subordinate, even if that commander had no idea.

But she halted, her eyes narrowing as she saw a mane of chestnut hair from the back. The outline of the plantsuit wasn't so familiar, but try to put an AEU uniform over it, a hat... ridiculous. It had just been on Kati's mind recently, with the efforts against Celestial Being.

Then the woman's head turned, and a look of shock flashed across Kati's face before she could stop it. So it's her I'm here for? But... It had been years, she had vanished; the only contact they'd had since then was the message that Kati herself had sent.

...If that was what it was, then it was what it was. Kati strode forward, bubbling uncertainty and confusion hidden behind her stern features. "Kujo."

Sumeragi froze as she caught sight of a familiar stern face headed towards her in the crowd. Kati. But... why? It'd been years, and even though they'd once been friends, in a tentative sort of way - they were enemies now. The last battle before coming here had made that crystal-clear. Whatever personal feelings were there didn't matter in war.

She did, however, manage to dredge up a faint, brittle smile. "Kati."

Mafuyu Hinasaki one_day_visit September 21 2011, 01:13:11 UTC
"How strange..." Mafuyu spoke aloud, more to himself than anything. Since he arrived to the Obs deck, he had been slowly wandering around the edge of the large gathering of people, catching snippets of excited dialogue.

He could quickly come to terms with his arrival on...whatever this ship was, and in truth it was a bit intriguing. But if he were here, then what had become of Kirie? Or his sibling, for that matter.

Mafuyu unconsciously brushed his fingertips over the black choker around his throat, eyes scanning over the heads and shoulders of the variety of people assembled. If he were here, there had to be some purpose to it. He just needed to find out what it was.

She'd gone to the observation deck with a bare, minimal hope in her heart. Maybe, if she were lucky, she'd see Rei-san today. Or maybe Ruri would be let out.

Miku stopped short, though, idling by a meaty couch on the observation deck, watching a young man move around the crowds excitedly meeting each other. He'd always been like that. Like her. Miku's chest suddenly felt odd and tight, and also full.

She ran across the observation deck and into Mafuyu her voice raised uncharacteristically.. "Nii-san!"

He turned towards the voice that called out, even if the phrase spoken was generic enough that it could have been referring to anybody else gathered. To both his shock and surprise, he was met with a familiarly (short) figure.

"Miku?" he questioned, as if he were unsure of it, himself. "Miku," he repeated, a small, pleased smile spreading on his face. He wasn't quite sure what it was he was supposed to say; he'd been completely prepared to never see his sibling again...and yet.

Mafuyu took his moment of stunned silence to pull his sister into a hug. Some things didn't really need words.

She'd grown...! Slightly.

Miku held on to her brother and sobbed. They were ugly and choking, but she didn't care. "Y-y-y-you. I-ha-It's re-re-really..." She felt all of seventeen again, lying outside the Mansion and watching the released spirits of the Himuro victims rising to heaven. Miku buried her face back into Mafuyu's chest and continued crying.

Twilight Sparkle was one confused pony. She didn't know where she was, how she got there... and all these strange creatures that walked on their hind legs. There were so many of them... she had never seen such things before, not even in the vast collection of books that lined the shelves of her home.

But that confusion didn't last long, and was soon replaced with panic; it was a trick! It had to be! The last thing she remembered was Discord's psychotic laughter after he declared the game a loss. This had to be his doing!

"Discord!" She called out, pawing the ground angrily with her hoof. "I know you're here somewhere! Show yourself and tell me what you've done!"

Applejack had come on down in the hopes of seeing her family. Apple Bloom? Big Mac? Granny Smith? Maybe Stacy hadn't gotten to her name before that big ol' Warden came in and stopped it, and that was okay. But wait, who was that unicorn pony? That familiar voice yelling about somepony called Discord?

Twilight was near as family. Close enough. The pony made her way to her dear friend, bobbing and weaving her way through much taller humans and humanoids.

"You sure that pod goo hasn't been messin' with your head, Twilight? There's nopony called Discord here---but I'm awful glad to see ya," she tacked on the end, brightening a little.

Less talking, more glomping!

"TWILIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!" Sorry, Twilight, no embodiments of nonsense here. Have the closest approximation in pony form instead. "Twilight! Twilight! Twilight! Ohmygosh you're HERE! This is great! Isn't this great? I think it's great!!"

OOF. Pinkie Glomps are very dangerous things, and Twilight was not prepared. But they're a thing she's used to, so it doesn't take her long to recover!

"Applejack! Pinkie Pie! You girls are okay!" The relief in her voice is quite obvious. She had been so worried when they were acting so unlike themselves, and so scared when she realized they had lost and there was no chance of recovering the Elements and her friends were probably stuck like that forever and--

Wait. Hold up.

"What are you talking about, Applejack?" She asked. "Don't tell me Discord is messing with your memory too!"

Hikari Tadao faithinourhope September 21 2011, 03:17:22 UTC
Hatching from a slimepod, having a voice speak into his head and being clothed by tentacles had all been new and somewhat unpleasant, but Tadao had experienced the new and unpleasant before, so all things considered he was dealing with this rather well. He was still immensely relieved when he'd been directed to an area where his possessions were being stored and he was allowed to put on his JGSDF uniform, leaving the strange pulsing plantsuit to shrivel down into a bracelet around his left wrist.

Personal effects restored to him, he followed the voice's instructions and entered a large, open room filled with people - and a variety of creatures he'd never seen before, and a few he couldn't begin to describe. The novelty of it all was enough to make him stop and stare for a moment before he regained his composure, and then he fell to scanning the room more carefully, looking for familiar faces - in particular, those of his wife or daughter.

Hoshi had been looking through the group to see if her parents or her team would be around. However, when it seemed that maybe she would be one of the unlucky ones, she saw a balding man in the crowd and took a moment to pause. Her hands rubbed at her eyes and she stood there, blinking in surprise.

No way.

No freakin' way.

It was him - her father! Daddy!

Her face lit up and she squealed happily while weaving her way through the crowd. She was running as fast as she could, tears of relief pricking at the corners of her eyes.

"Father!" she ecstatically replied and gave her old man a hug. "You're really here! I've missed you so much!" she said before the tears worked their way down her cheeks and smiled the best she could through her tears.

He'd been watching a bunch of pastel horse-things converse, wondering if he wasn't actually on a terrific bender of some sort, when a familiar sound drew his attention.

Dad totally recognizes your squeals, honey. That's what dads do.

"Hoshi!" He turned just in time for her to throw her arms around him and reciprocated in kind - partially out of habit, partially to steady himself and partly because he was simply relieved to see her and know that she was alive and all right in this strange place.

He smiled back down at her, but there was a tinge of paternal concern there. No father likes to see his daughter cry, after all, and she was acting as though she hadn't seen him in forever. "I'm here, all right," he assured her, reaching up to cup her cheek in one hand.

The words were unspoken, but there. Tell me what's wrong.

She raised her hand up to wipe her tears away, trying to calm down. Having him here helped ease her worries and concerns that her mama, team and her friends were here. But, despite that, she was still crying. Even she couldn't be strong all the time.

"I've been so worried, father. I-I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't cry because you're here now and things are gonna be okay and--" It didn't seem like she was going to stop unloading all of her concerns and worries that she had for months now, but she had to pause to take a breather. She shook her head and still was grinning up at him.

"I've been hanging in there."

I'm so happy you're safe. Everyone... We're gonna win this...
