Choosing Not To Read
I've fallen into a couple of online reader's/writer's communities over the last couple of years, mostly (although not exclusively) on Goodreads. But I'm finding them harder and harder to get excited about. That old *ick* feeling...
Since Georgia isn't generally inclined toward snow or other outward signs of the changing seasons, I have developed & learned my own subtle signs... One of these is the sore throat which comes on overnight. It (eventually) clears up, with sufficient application of hot tea, over the course of a day, and then reappears the next morning. I have been rather avoiding LJ here lately...I'm not really sure why; it seems to have become my place to ramble, rant, and rave, and I've started blogging elsewhere with other stuff. DON'T underestimate me
In the last couple of days have been involved in a running "discussion" on FB whether or not it is wrong for a soldier to hate all Muslims after 9/11 and Iraq/Afghanistan. My stance is that it is always wrong to hate an entire people based on their religion because certain factions of that religion engage in terrorist activity or what we Americans ( Read more... )
