Unfortunately, the Sweetie had to go back to school by 7:00 last night for a late night working on his team project. Last evening was uneventful, but cheery. Woody of WLW fame kept me company over-the-phone on my drive home from work. My mother's apartment is finally secured! She'll leave Georgia on September 29, and have her apartment here as of October 1. I made the trip in 11 hours total, but I suspect it may take her three days. My mama's apartment has a fireplace, which she's very excited about, and rightly so. Sorry I've been away for awhile here. The trip up to Kentucky for Wildlands West was a good deal of fun. I've been recovering from the usual deprivations of live-action roleplaying: not enough sleep, water, or food. SO happy I took Monday off from work as well as Friday. I'm finally reaching the end of Persuasion (which I read once before, but didn't recall well) and I now remember what I dislike about Jane Austen. Her novels all have the same plot, for one -- but it's kinda like watching Keanu Reeves act. He always plays the same role. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Back from my second consecutive weekend of LARPing, and boy are my arms tired. The road trip was greatly amusing. Driving half-way up to Nashville on Thursday was the way to go. 800-mile round trip to LARP at Wildlands West in Kentucky this weekend. (More later... maybe.) Just as we were leaving the campsite Sunday, 400 miles from home, the check engine light came on in the car. Brought it to the dealership this morning to get it checked out.

The bad news: It's the catalytic converter and will cost $2,200 to replace.
