Characters: Romeo and passers by Setting: Dormitory level Format: whatever Summary: Romeo doesn't like his job too much, and he doesn't feel too well Warnings:
Romeo looked up to see miss Madeline and tried to smile, but he still felt dizzy so smiling was hard, "No, it's okay miss, I just don't feel too good..." He closed his eyes again.
Romeo blinked, "Do you think so..." That was strange, he had gone for days without eating anything before when he was in Milano and had never felt like this and he had eaten breakfast just that morning!
"No I..." He pointed to the bucket and rags, "This is my job, I was cleaning but then I felt funny so sat down," he looked around, "I should work again or I'll get into trouble." He didn't really look in any state to be standing up and working at the moment.
Lillet had been making a faint attempt to explore the various accessible levels before she had to report to work - window cleaning, really? - and whilst she had a good enough memory to remember the layout as described by Ichi, it was only with the help of a carefully summoned elf that she was able to navigate her way around. Everything and everyone looked so strange, and that was something she never thought she'd have to say again. When she rounded a corner and saw a young boy curled up against the wall, it was almost a relief. Something she could do.
"Oh no!" It was a close thing as to who got there faster, her or the elf, "You're hurt. What happened?"
Romeo blinked in confusion as he saw the woman in the pointy hat, a woman who looked very much like a storybook witch apart from she was in purple not black, and a tiny creature that looked like an imp or an elf. He rubbed his eyes, he must have been more tired than he thought and fallen asleep.
But then she spoke, Romeo blinked again, "Did you come from a story book miss?" He asked, because maybe they had stolen people from stories as well, if all the worlds ever were destroyed.
"That's what they tell me-- oh, your wrist..." It wasn't exactly good conversation, mostly because she was occupied with infusing her elf with enough of her remaining mana reserves for a decent healing charm. The spell wasn't a subtle one either, a fountain or blues and greens, faerie lights and the smell of tulips all erupting from the air above the elf to whirl around Romeo. That done, she smiled at him, able to make eye contact now she was kneeling at his side. "I'm Lillet. Are you okay now?"
Romeo blinked, this was so strange, and then colours, lots of colours. Magic! Real life magic. "Wha..." He watched as the burn disapeared from his arm, and blinked up at the woman, "You're a real magic witch!" He looked at the elf his mouth wide.
"Thank you miss," he said quietly, not sure whether to be scared because this was a witch but she had helped him and now his arm wasn't hurting anymore.
