Wow! This is an amazing story! I was seriously creeped out by it (in a good way - literally jumped at a shadow as I was reading this in near dark) and hopelessly entwined. I had to stop myself from skimming certain parts because I was so eager to find out what had happened to Alice and what was going to happen to Ariadne! I'm so glad I resisted the temptation as you seem to have truly captured every scene in such beautiful, vivid detail that I felt like I were walking along with Ariadne (which is probably why I was jumping at shadows ;D ).

This is so realistically eerie and hauntingly composed. I didn't see the second reveal coming at all and the fact that she was under while everyone else had woken ... *shudders* I am not expressing myself very eloquently here but believe me when I say that I love what you did here. Love ( ... )

My god. This is so gorgeous. I love the Alice in Wonderland feel, and it's so appropriate for Ariadne. She definitely felt very "girl in a new world" during the movie, and when she was first exploring dreams she definitely had the confidence and disregard of convention to suit the image of a little girl. And the situation that you've placed them all in... *swoon* So terrible and wonderfully depraved. Your descriptions of the real Alice made me shudder - she was so ghastly and yet regal; I'm also addicted to the idea of Alice as the Red Queen.

Sadly, I haven't read the original Alice - I do know where to find it, though, and will get on that as soon as possible. The fantasy and the twisting of reality was glorious here. And, in the end, she was still dreaming, right? It's a fantastic twist, and it made everything so much better - was she dreaming in the first place? Was she ever awake? This story is going to keep me thinking and puzzling for quite a while. This is a really wonderful fic, and I feel so privileged to have read it. It's ( ... )

This was absolutely and utterly fabulous. I love the worlds you created and it was such a gripping read. Honestly, every scene was just me on the edge of my seat and you totally had me with the dream-within-a-dream and not realizing it until the music.

And gah, Alice with the creepy and seriously, absolutely wonderful work. LOVE IT!

This is stunning work. You handed the present tense really well, making everything just so creepy and unstable - it had a real nightmarish quality. I loved your imagery, particularly the different trees, and how you took just enough from the books. Fantastic!

Though I must say, I half expected Mal to show up as the queen but was glad that she didn't - was that anticipation intentional?
