BIRDCAGE! BIRDCAGE BIRDCAGE BIRDCAGE! on page 8! And what is that box inside? Pandora's, perhaps (just a thought)? I do hope someone else noticed that. Sensei loves birdcages, and I have yet to determine a meaning to it all. But oh boy, does it have meaning. What are you guys' thoughts?

Well, the boxes inside might be related to the Boxes in the Pilot Chapter (which if you haven't read, DL it here --> http://www.mediafire.com/?mymloivjkuo) and apparently they are "Abyss' " so I assume that like a caged bird, the Will of the Abyss can't really "get out" or do what she wants for herself (as in the kill me and save her wish.) Now, this is just my guess for what the boxes and birdcages symbolise if the Pilot really has any truth in it...

This is all I can contribute since I am otherwise still recollecting my braincells ATM because of Retrace 63.

/rolls in

First thing, first. Leo does totally look like Alice, which makes me think he's some kind weird incarnation of the Will of the Abyss with a bunch of purple and brown paint splatted on him. YEAH I DUNNO.

I really liked this chapter ... but I really didn't like seeing Leo in that Baskerville robe/cape/thing. LEO, IF YOU ARE GOING TO GO ON SOME ROARING RAMPAGE OF REVENGE, THEN PLEASE DO IT YOUSELF.

But now, the part that I actually care about breaks my heart even more. ELLLLIOOOTTTTTTTT. /runs off crying /runs back. I think this totally proves Elliot/Leo is cannon. Sooo tragicccccccc. /sobs again ( ... )

I'm sorry you're having a cold at the moment. Feel better ♥

Also, I don't think I'll be able to form clever sentences at the moment, since I've just woken up (I'm having my morning coffee as we speak... don't I always read your reaction posts when I've just woken up? XD WHAT).

Actually, there is so damn much going on right now, I won't even try to come up with theories about what's coming next. But like others, I feel some end of the series vibes. We now know that Alyss wants Alice safe, we know the intentions of the Baskervilles, we've finally have the arch enemy (and who would have thought that?) for Oz.
And on top of all that, we've got Rufus who just won't say what he knows. Haha, I like that comparison to Izaya. Just you wait, at one point he'll go "I LOVE HUMANS" on everyone XD He better notI was SO thrilled to see the Jabberwock at last! Haha, especially since I only just finished the Alice stories. Didn't they used it as a chain in the anime as well? At the very end? It doesn't have to mean anything, since the anime went ( ... )

I love both <3 <3 <3 ( ... )

I agree with your assessment of why Break has Mad Hatter. What interests me is that fact that he stated many times earlier in the series that he hates her and will kill her. So all along, we thought the reason he wanted to kill her was simply that he hated her. In fact, she probably asked Kevin/Break to kill her right then and there, but he couldn't because he got thrown out of Abyss. So all these chapters we've been wondering what Break promised the Will of Abyss that he would do...and he'd already stated it a whole bunch of times! His promise was to kill her!

Wonderful, tricky storytelling.

Ah, I'm still rooting for Oz, and here's why. The Baskervilles justification of their actions seems pretty legit. IF they're telling us the whole truth. There might be something else to this story that Leo just doesn't feel like telling us. I mean, he's made it pretty obvious that he's gonna do whatever it takes to destroy Alyss. What's a couple half truths?

And here's what makes me think this: Echo's face while he's telling it all. She looks so forlorn and upset and just plain guilty. Now, being on the inside, Echo knows what's up. And she knows everything that's up right now. If anything, I think that she is our judge of the better decision (I don't want to say "just" or "right"). Even at the ceremony, when she knew that Vince wanted Break to die fighting Fang and Lily, she still tipped Gil off that Break was in danger, despite knowing that she was in for some serious punishment later on ( ... )
