Pandora Hearts Retrace LX Discussion

Apr 17, 2011 23:23

Okay! Chapter 60 is out and we have lots of things to talk about! Prepare yourselves! This chapter was short but it was action-packed!
Sorry I haven't looked this over since I wrote it, I'll probably do it later, please excuse any typos. ^^'
This thing took the exact same amount of time that it would have taken to watch Moulin Rouge. I was about to watch it when I saw that the scanlation was up. )< )

Oh, I see. To be honest, I've never read Alice in wonderland XD Thanks for clearing that for me.

(I too to started to like most of them after finding out about their past XD).

You definitely should. It'll really bring new understanding to the series. Sensei uses it A LOT. Both Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

Lol, it started as a nursery rhyme. "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty together again."

Hm, yes. Somethings definitely seem clearer to me after seeing the scanlation. Like that Vincent is likely the one who killed Duke Nightray.

Unlike some folks, I didn't think Leo was railing against Glen, but against those Pandora agents who were interrogating him. It's got to be awful to lose your best friend then be questioned so much about what happened that night.

I wonder why (as the scanlation says) Break was simply in bed recovering from a wound, rather than suffering from the effects of the contract as he did in the past? I view that in an optimistic light.

I thought it was called "Eggshell" because we're looking at the pieces that remain.

I wonder what it will take for Oz and Gilbert to finally crack? Clearly they are ripe for it.

Who is the 'rebel' mentioned on pg 33? I can only think of Glen.

I originally thought Leo was screaming at the Pandora agents, but they way he was talking just sounded too much like he was having an internal struggle rather than external. When he said, "Elliot is dead! He died because of me!" it sounded to me like he was desperately trying to persuade Glen to leave him alone. It's certainly no reason for Pandora to leave him alone, it's the exact reason why they were interrogating him. And the members looked completely perplexed as to why he was screaming. If he had been prompted by the situation to yell at them, they would understand what was going on.

It might be both. All the king's horses and all the king's men searched all over for HD's broken pieces before determining that they couldn't put him back together again.

I don't want to know when or why they will crack, but I have a feeling that they will.

I thought it was the rebel too. That was basically a summary of the Tragedy, the version that was told to the public, so it would only make sense that it was Glen.

Knowing Vincent, he'd probably say Elliot's actual last words - 'I reject you' - but he won't give any context to Leo at all.

And Alice probably bit his ear because it was the only way she knew how to distract Oz/ jolt him out of whatever stupor he's in.

Oh that would be terrible. I hope he doesn't.

Hm, that's likely. Even though it didn't work :/

LOVING that icon, by the way ;D

"I hope everyone's been paying attention to the titles, "Humpty Dumpty Sat On a Wall", "Humpty Dumpty Had a Great Fall", and now "Eggshell"."

There's also "Couldn't Put Humpty Together Again".

"Sharon implying that maybe the Baskervilles didn't want to kill Reim? I wonder why? I know that Lottie gave orders not to kill anyone, but are there other motives here?"

I thought this was because of Lily? I mean, Lily and Reim first started off at what seems to be "friends". Lily even considered her as such. But since Reim did shoot her, Lily retaliated, but I don't think she intended to kill him. Especially in the later chapter, when Reim calls out to Lily to distract her from Break, he recalls that moment and sees Lily's wide-smile face looking at him. I think up until now Lily still thinks Reim's a "friend".

"And I still don't know why the heck Alice bit his ear?I thought this was to wake him up from it. You've got a point, Oz seems to have come-of-age of sorts because of his remark, but looking at him, and looking at his eyes, he's ( ... )

Yes! I wonder what that chapter will be when it comes.

That's what I was implying. Lottie DID give orders not to kill anyone, which probably means something, but also, Reim was completely at Lily's mercy, and she didn't kill him because they were friends.

I think this ordeal in its entirety will be Oz's coming-of-age. He's not completely grown up yet. However, I wouldn't say that Oz is in denial. He is completely aware and acknowledging everything that's happening. I think he's just overwhelmed and depressed. Numbness is a common initial reaction to the death of someone close to you.

And Alice, still not comprehending the more complex emotions, doesn't understand this. And she does what she thinks will help him I guess.

Well thank you~ That makes so much sense! I'd think she'd be blind to something regarding this post-party situation. Maybe we haven't seen what she's blind to yet.

It's possible. If Elliot goes into the Abyss. But his smile descended into "the light" <-- not very Abysmal.

How did you miss the vest? He looked like a mini Jack! With even the same clothes! :O

DON'T SAY THAT. WE DON'T LIKE OZ X ALICE RAPE AROUND HERE. DI did. Your Dalmatians reference was too awesome to leave out. ;D ( ... )

Well...correct me if I'm wrong, but when people enter and exit the Abyss, isn't there usually some kind of light before it becomes darkness or more light?

Though most of my theory stems from the whole thing in the last two chapters where HD was talking to Elliot or something...Elliot seemed to be in the Abyss...and part of me has a theory about souls, contractors and the Abyss.

Lol, I was probably too focused on his "DADDY REJECTED ME AGAIN SO IMMA GONNA LOOK LIKE A BROKEN DOLL" expression to notice his clothing, XDD.

o-o. B-But she could've...>_> "Rape" implies "do not want" and Oz definitely did not want.

Tehehehehehe <3. All he was missing was a wig and a flapper cigarette and then it would've been perfect, XDD.

No, I'm talking about just a few chapters ago....like 58...or something....*looks through summaries* It was last chapter, actually.

HOLY SHIT YOU'RE RIGHT OMG! But would he really, even though he's not related by blood? But still holy crap he is o-o.

Dude, is that your thinking face?

Oh right! Oz said he saw a bright light before entering the Abyss too! I was thinking more along the lines of there might actually be two Abyss'. But I don't like that theory anyway. XD

Well then, out with your theory.

The "DO NOT WANT" I can see. But let's just say, WE NO LIKEY OZ X ALICE SEX 'ROUND HERE. Consensual or no.

Oh in chapter 59 right before he died? Leo was unconscious.

He was legally adopted, making him a part of the family. Last in line after the blood members, but ALL THE BLOOD NIGHTRAYS ARE GONE. And I believe that even adopted children come before relatives who aren't directly in the lineage.
