A Tail of Fail And Win (set to the chorus of "Berlin")

Oct 24, 2008 14:09

So three news tidbits things today, one fail, one funny, one win. First, the fail, because I just find this funny:

I got a call from a collection agency. ( Yah, I Know, It Sounds Like A Joke Setup And it Kinda Is )

annoypid, rant, crochet, life, whoo hoo!, ftw!, *snicker*, i made this, random, *sigh*

i never have christians or mormons knocking on my door. must be the wards...

is this the cream blanket from retreat? if so, congrats! but i worry the color is bad for a baby. i hope it doesn't get stained...

Yah, this is the same one. But no worries about staining, I thought ahead. I got a yarn speicaly designed for babies, it's not stain resistant (as I've discovered thanks to help from Brain with a magic marker and Clay with chocolate milk), but stains do wash out very very easily with just water (again, as descovered thanks to the boys). The marker left a slight dark patch on one corner, but the milk came out fine, as has the bit of lipstick I got on it. This yarn should stand up just fine to being tossed into the wash regularly.

And as for the door-to-door saivors... ::sighs:: That's just the drawback to living in an area with six difrent churches in a five block radius. Not to mention five schools within a mile. They're all compeating for my salvation. I've tried dozens of difrnent wards for it, but since they dont intend harm, I can't violate my own vows and turn away people who intend good. My Scantuary Sheilds are open to anyone who needs peace, safty, has good intentions or will or are sent by those who do, or things ( ... )

ah, good. i was a bit worried, hehe.

see, my wards are designed to keep out anything that isn't for my greater good. i guess salvation falls under the 'not in my best interests' category, hehe. ghosts don't seem to fall under that heading, though. they get in anyways, but i hung out a 'no psychopomp' sign out and so i don't get many. of course, i do have a pass to the Grey Lands right outside my apartment that tends to chill my blood quite often, so i'm rather glad of those wards.
