A couple of photos from a walk with a visiting friend up Win Hill, whose distinctive profile beckons as one drives out from Sheffield into the Peak District along the Manchester road. On the road to the park on the hill, the wires that radiate out from the telegraph poles to the terraced houses are slapping around so violently in the wind that I feel worried to walk underneath them. My eyes are streaming, and when I turn into the park I have to struggle to keep my course in the crosswind.
