Hey guys, remember me? I'm the chick who had the massive hive attack a couple weeks ago. Well, the hives have gone away but since then I've developed something called dermatographic urticaria (or more commonly known as "skin writing"). It's not super TMI, but it's kinda cool, so I figured I would share. :)

Couple pics under here )

I had skin writing for about a year, it was really odd...and so itchy! Eventualyl it went away and I developed about a million allergies.

A YEAR?! Oh dear Lord, I still have a ways to go then, lol. It's SO itchy, it's driving me NUTS.

I've had it since I was 16. I'm approaching 26 now...

Uni friends found it hilarious on drunken nights out...me, not so much!

i felt so bad for you because i've had some bad hives attacks and i've wanted to rip my skin off! the dermatographic urticaria is cool but being itchy is so horrible!

It's terrible! My mom keeps telling me to just "not scratch" but that's much easier said then done.

during one of my hives attacks i was crying non stop because it was so hard not to itch. all my stretch marks and scars swelled up to look like islands and i was just completely miserable. if you haven't got some get some aloe vera gel and put it in the fridge. it's what i use when i get itchy and it's heaven.

The last time I talked to someone who had this I told them to write help me on their stomach like from the exorcist.

My brother said, "That'd be freaky if you woke up and saw 'HELP ME' written across your forehead or something, huh?" I was like, "GEE, THANKS FOR THAT." Lol. Someone else told me to write expletives on my arms at work then be like, "IT'S A DISEASE OK?!" when people get offended, lmao.
